Important Patient Update Tuesday 28 July

Due to unforeseen clinical staff absence, we are experiencing significantly reduced clinical capacity today.

To ensure we continue to provide safe care, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close our online triage service for today.

If you have an urgent medical problem that needs attention today, please telephone the surgery and a member of our team will assess your needs and direct you to the most appropriate clinician or service.

We are continuing to see patients with pre-booked appointments as planned.

If your request is routine and can safely wait, we kindly ask that you contact us on another day to help us prioritise patients with the most urgent clinical needs.

Please continue to use NHS 111 for urgent medical advice when the surgery is closed or if you are unsure where to seek help. In a medical emergency, or if someone is seriously ill, always call 999.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience, understanding and kindness towards our staff as we work through today's exceptional circumstances.

Polite message to our Patients

We have sickness in our reception team.

Please could we ask that if you can could you put all request that you may need today through the online request as you could be waiting longer than normal via the telephone.

You can request appointments, medication, sick notes and queries about test results online.

Urgent message to our Patient's.

We have staff sickness. 4 of our Nurses are poorly. This will mean that if you have a nurse appointment today with one of theese nurses, we will need to cancel and rearrange your appointment.

We are really sorry for the inconvenience this may cause.

Patient Notice of Surgery closure on Wednesday 28th January from 12pm for the rest of the day.

We will be open from 8am until 12pm.
From 12pm we will close to allow our clinical staff to attend a citywide training event.

If you require help tomorrow between 12pm and 6.30pm please call our surgery number as normal and our out of hours providers will signpost you to the most appropriate service.

We will open as normal at 8am on Thursday 29th January.

Patient Notice

From Monday 12th January, major refurbishment works will take place at our Park Hill site (190 Duke Street) for 18 weeks.

The main entrance is now closed. All patients and visitors are to enter via the staff entrance at the back of the building (next to the Dentist) A ramp has been installed for wheelchairs and pushchairs.

The surgery will remain open as normal.

Dear Patients,

There is currently an amber weather warning for Snow in Sheffield from 8pm on Thursday evening until 1pm on Friday afternoon.
Please be careful if you have to go out.
If you need us tomorrow, we suggest that you complete the online triage form from 8am on Friday morning instead of trying to get into the surgery, this is the link to use if you can.

Message to all Patients.

All Sheffield GP Surgery's are closed from 12pm today (Tue 18th November) for citywide training.

We will re-open as normal at 8am tomorrow (Wednesday 19th November)

If you need to access care from 12pm today you can either;

1. Call 111

2. Call the surgery, you will be directed to our contracted care providers

3. Go to the Walk in Centre

The covid vaccine this Autumn/Winter.

Please read before attempting to book in for the vaccine.

The rules have changed, please do not swear at our staff if you turn up for a vaccine and then to be told that you aren't eligible. We don't make the rules.

For autumn 2025, COVID-19 vaccination will be offered to:

1- adults aged 75 years and over

2- residents in care homes for older adults

3- individuals who are immunosuppressed aged 6 months and over

This represents a significant change from the autumn 2024 programme, which then included adults aged 65 to 74 and all those aged 6 months and over in a clinical risk group.

The eligibility is the same across the 4 nations of the UK (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland).
