Some Photos from todays MCL rehab session with Mark. Mark came to me after slipping whilst walking his dog and falling awkwardly. After a thorough assessment we assessed he had injured his MCL.

Over the course of various sessions we have steadily built marks strength and confidence. At first he couldn’t balance and his own legs and complained on lunging with just his body weight. Now he is performing to a much better level in this proprioception session with focus on multi directional stability training.

Patellofemoral pain syndrome, more commonly referred to as runners knee. This condition effects the tendon at the front of the knee, connecting the muscles of the thigh to the kneecap. Despite this, pain can be felt anywhere in the knee with this condition even in the back of the knee.

Sings and symptoms include,
- clicking‼️
- cracking‼️
- pain on taking stairs ‼️
- sitting for a prolonged period of time and then standing‼️

Runners knee does not happen just to runners, it is a very common condition that can greatly effect your performance and quality of life.

£50 once a month for a massage is a lot right? Well when we look at what we routinely spend our money on, it’s a fairly good deal actually. How many times a month do we go on needless nights out spending small fortunes to end up with banging hangovers? How much do we spend on takeaways because we don’t want to cook on the weekend. How many times do we go out for expensive meals? How much do we pay a month for subscription services such as Netflix, Disney plus, Sky, BT, Hellofresh, PlayStation plus? Only to use next to none of them other than once in a blue moon or as background noise. But people won’t spend £50 on their own health and well being? If that £50 allows you to relive a bad back which helps you sleep better, play sport pain free, play with your kids without aching then I would say it’s far more valuable of an investment that anything mentioned above.
Don’t suffer bad health, aches and pains for the sake of a few frivolities, book in today and start moving pain free.

One of the most common injuries is hamstring strains. They usually occur during large sharp contractions of the muscles, think sprints, jumping and slowing down. Not only are they extremely common but two of the biggest factors leading to hamstring strain are previous hamstring injuries and premature return to activity. This can all be prevented using massage as a tool to keep your hamstrings in good condition and if you have been unfortunate enough to strain the hamstrings we can treat the tissue promoting healing and take you through a rehab protocol aimed at bulletproofing your hamstrings. Shoulder pain? You could be suffering with rotator cuff tears/strains.

The rotator cuff is made up of 4 muscles, the Supraspinatus, infraspunatus, subscapularis and the teres minor. These muscles allow the shoulder to rotate and move in the shoulder joint. If any of these muscles suffer a strain or the tendons have tears, this will result in shoulder pain making every day tasks such as opening the door, brushing your hair/teeth or getting dressed a chore. Rotator cuff dysfunction is a very common issue and I will be able to give your shoulder a full assessment to see what the problem is and then offer you a range of treatment options and exercises to see you back to a pain free shoulder.
