Yesterday I was invited by Kelly Anne to massage people at Guildford Grange Care Home. Thank you. They held a Charity Event for Prostate Cancer with a theme of Football Shirts. I wore an England one!

I was such an honour to be their helping relieve tensions and help increase mobility and to see so many people there, stalls selling their wares and a great singer.

Congratulations to Marie, husband Paul. Kim, all the helpers and carers, the residents and visitors. And the Care Home staff.

It is such a lovely venue and lovely people.

Every thought you have doesn’t just stay in your head.

It triggers chemistry in your body.

Bruce Lipton often explains this using a simple contrast:

When the brain perceives safety, connection, or love, it releases chemicals associated with relaxation and repair.

When the brain perceives fear or threat, it releases stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline.

Those signals prepare your body for completely different priorities.

In a calm state:

Your body focuses on
• recovery
• digestion
• immune function
• long-term health

In a stress state:

Your body shifts toward
• alertness
• survival
• rapid energy use

This is where modern research on epigenetics becomes interesting.

Your environment — including stress, sleep, nutrition, and lifestyle — can influence which genes are more or less active.

That doesn’t mean thoughts magically control your DNA.
