Pirate hat on head, collection bucket in hand – our patron Acker Shaw cuts a familiar figure at football matches across the region!

For the past 26 years, he’s been raising money for our charity in memory of his beloved wife Brenda, who passed away in 2000 after being diagnosed with breast cancer.

Acker originally set out to raise £52k – £1,000 for every year of Brenda’s life. 💜

He surpassed his goal in 2018 and has gone on to raise more than £170k for individuals and families facing cancer.

This year was a record for Acker, with £20k collected at 140 sporting events! ⭐

His act of love has helped us to fund vital cancer research, treatment enhancements, and support services – and we’re so grateful for his dedication.

Our Living with Prostate Cancer course is open to anyone with a prostate cancer diagnosis, regardless of the stage of treatment you are at.

Topics covered include:
💜 PSA levels, testing and managing hot flushes
💜 Diet, lifestyle and prostate cancer
💜 Stress, anxiety and coping strategies

Our next course runs this September, on 4th, 11th and 18th, from 2pm-4pm.

We are pleased to offer our patients the opportunity to join a series of online nutrition sessions via Zoom, led by experienced therapists.

Starting in September, you'll gain a better understanding of the food you eat and explore topics like cooking on a budget and managing gut health. 🥕🍎

It's that time again... We presented cheques to the brilliant supporters who fundraised for us in July. ✨

💜CMS Law chose us as their charity of the year and donated an amazing £13,361!
💜Jo Staniforth and Karen Elliott raised £236 at their karaoke night.
💜Crooked Spire Classic Run donated £1,172 from their most recent classic car run.
💜Margaret Beecham hosted another Time For Tea event and has raised £2,388 from all her events!
💜Diane and Keith King also hosted a Time For Tea bake sale raising an amazing £2,190!
💜Angela Liversidge raised £1,428 at the Scout Hut in Handsworth with a raffle, tombola, face paint, tarot readings.
💜Kathleen Davies raised a total of £559 from her craft stalls and taking part in Walk As One.
💜Sheffield Wednesday FC raised a whopping £10,000 at their SWFC X WPCC Legends Match!
💜Simoda Limited held a golf day raising £5,171.
💜Mattioli Woods had a raffle at their client evening which raised £275.
💜White House Clinic - Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Management donated £1,415 from what their massages raised at the Round Sheffield Run.

Over £6,500 raised from our first campaign! 💜

Our Bridge of Remembrance in Weston Park was covered in beautiful white and purple ribbons throughout June, each one bearing the name of someone special who is no longer with us.

What a privilege it was to celebrate the Croke family’s £303k fundraising milestone!

Michael, Rachel, Sean, and Matthew Croke founded BB with love to honour wife and mum Bev, who passed away in 2021 after being diagnosed with breast cancer.

The family have continued Bev’s legacy of generosity and kindness through a vast array of events - from the star-studded BB With Love concerts to an annual charity golf day.

The money they’ve raised will help to fund vital research, treatment enhancements, and support services for the one in two people who will be diagnosed with cancer.

We’d to say a huge thank you to the Croke family for your support, and we know Bev would have been extremely proud of everything you’ve achieved. 💜

We're so excited to have been shortlisted for the Collaboration Excellence Award at this year's Sheffield Chamber Sheffield Business Awards for Turn It Purple 2026!

In February, we inspired local colleges, businesses, and organisations to join forces for our first-ever day.

The campaign was held on World Cancer Day to demonstrate a powerful message: that South Yorkshire stands united against cancer. 30 organisations got involved in the day, rallying around our cause and we'd like to thank you all - this is a celebration of our collaboration!

We're honoured to be shortlisted alongside so many incredible organisations and can't wait to see what the evening brings! ✨
