Cheese and Wine Afternoon 🧀🍷
This afternoon some residents enjoyed some cheese and wine in the conservatory. There was a selection of different cheeses, biscuits, chutney and cheese straws. Alongside the option of a glass of prosecco or orange juice.
Everyone enjoyed this mini feast whilst listening to some relaxing music on the radio. 😃

Cycling Without Age Sheffield 🚴‍♀️
This morning Jean enjoyed a ride out with the cycling without age team. We chose to head to the botanical gardens, we loved to look at all the different flowers and trees there were, and we commented on how busy it was with families and their dogs.
This brought back fond memories of when she had a dog. We then headed to endcliffe park where we tried to spot as may of the lion statues as we could. This made for a lovely morning and we can’t wait for our next trip out. 😃

Hallamshire Festival 🎉
This afternoon, everyone gathered in the main lounge to celebrate our annual Hallamshire Festival. We were joined by the lovely Emily Capp Vocalist as our singer today, with some classics like Build Me Up Buttercup and Dancing Queen. We all got festival ready with flower necklaces and sunglasses, followed by turning the lights off and waving our glowsticks to the music. After all the dancing, we enjoyed some drinks and a buffet dinner which was lovely. This was a fantastic time and we all can’t wait for next years festival! 😆🙌😍

Puzzles & Colouring 🧩
This morning, some residents had a relaxing time doing some floral themed colouring sheets, or a wordsearch. We had a lovely time chatting to each other whilst colouring, which made for a great morning and a good time was had by all. 😃

Bingo 🙌
This afternoon, residents enjoyed a fun game of classic British bingo, in which we competed to get a line and then a full house first, which got very close. In the end, our full house winners were Carol G and Carol H, with Jean and David getting the lines. This made for a fun afternoon and a great time was had by all. 😃

Motion 🎈🎈🎈
This morning, residents enjoyed their weekly motion session, with a lot of energy despite the rainy weather. We did some exercises with pom-poms and resistance bands before doing some balloon tennis and cooling down exercises, alongside some songs which was great fun. This made for a lovely morning and our motioner of the week was Joy! 🏆🙌

Board Games 🎲
This afternoon, residents enjoyed playing a few board games such as snakes and ladders as well as scrabble, this encouraged conversation of past games they had played with family which made for a lovely relaxing afternoon and a good time was had by all. 😃

Balloon Tennis 🎈
This morning, residents enjoyed an active game of balloon tennis where we used pool noodles to see how long we could keep the balloon up which encouraged friendly competition between residents. This made for an active morning and a good time was had by all. 😃

Lunch Outing 🍺
This Afternoon, Jim enjoyed a nice trip out to the Sheaf Island for some lunch and a nice cold pint. We had a lovely time chatting about our favourite places we’ve travelled, where we grew up and stories about our families which made for a really nice afternoon. 😃
