📆Bookings are now open for the free lifesaving MenB vaccine.

Getting two doses of the MenB vaccine before the autumn term is one of the most important things you can do to protect yourself from some types of meningococcal B disease. Two doses are necessary for protection.

The second dose should be offered a minimum of 28 days after the first dose.

While temperatures remain high it might be tempting to cool off in open water and the surface can look safe, it can hide strong undercurrents, shockingly cold temperatures, debris, and disease just a few feet below the surface.

With temperatures set to stay high, remember to stay safe in the sun: ☀️

• Avoid direct sunlight between 11am and 3pm, when UV rays are strongest.
• If you need to go out, stick to the shade, wear a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, and loose, light-coloured clothing.
• Apply sunscreen with at least SPF 30 and 4 or 5-star UVA protection to all exposed skin, and reapply regularly.
