I’ve worked 3 days a week on the gym floor for almost 2 years now, condensing all my PT hours in to 3 long days

As a senior and ultimately special needs dog owner that needs around the clock medical care, I need as much time with her as possible

My wonderful mum picks up the slack for me on those long days otherwise I wouldn’t be able to care for her the way I do 🥰 as they say, “it takes a village”

Even before her health care increased, the fact she’s ancient led me to dropping extra days so I could spend as much time with her as possible…she is my baby, so the time spent together is precious 💖

Something I learned in my late 20’s is how important work-life balance is and getting a senior dog in my 30’s only amplified that

Who knows, maybe one day I’ll put some extra days back in, but for now she is my priority 🤷🏼‍♀️

There’s a huge toxic narrative around working your absolute arse off these days and that rest is reserved for certain people, but for me, I won’t sacrifice my life and memories for a job…I have in the past and it isn’t fun

I’ve got the balance just right ☺️ my girl is happy, healthy and loved, along with me and my people ❤️

A reminder that simplicity is key 🔑

5 days in to our holiday…

We’ve travelled a lot, had broken sleep and had a few treats here and there

And the thing is, that IS what holidays are about, and I fully embrace the change of pace without guilt

But it can throw your routine out and can leave you feeling sluggish, lethargic and a bit run down

Importantly, you don’t need to start on detoxes or supplements, or throw yourself back in to training full bore the second you get home

The truth is, your most simple adjustments are the ones that will have you feeling better the quickest ❤️‍🩹

Eat well
Drink lots of water
Get some good sleep
Move your body like you normally would
And if the weather allows it, get out in the sun and get some steps in

Don’t over complicate health, our bodies generally need the most wholesome, simple things to recover, not a tonne of powders, pills and potions 🧪

Right, enough work, I’m off to the pool with a Cruz campo and a floaty 🤪 find me there for the rest of the day

I actually asked “what would you do if a strange man attacked you?”

My clients are so lovely…I had to force them to use violence 🤣

Poor is only home from Aus 🇦🇺 for 2 weeks and we’re dragging her down with us 😆

I’ve been training my arms both directly and indirectly for 10 years and they’re still skinny 😅

Building muscle is HARD, so you don’t need to worry if you’re “doing too much” in the beginning, just get lifting 💪🏼 you won’t bulk up overnight

Training arms indirectly through compound exercises, is an efficient and effective way to train them. You can build muscle this way way, it strengthens other muscle groups simultaneously and it saves time in your workouts

Training arms directly by adding in bicep and tricep exercises a couple of times a week, will give you faster and more effective results

The choice is yours 🏋🏼‍♀️

Ps toning/definition/sculpting/bulking, is still all MUSCLE BUILDING. How big or defined your muscles are depends how long, often and intensely you are training for, and equally, how good your diet is 💪🏼

Honey, garlic and soy prawns 🍤

You guys when mad for this in my story, so thought I’d share it with you 💁🏼‍♀️

I always eat simple, I’m a big fan of not over complicating food…mainly for convenience and time saving

And this sauce/seasoning combo works with any meat source

✨PREP✨
• Boil white rice until cooked (or you can buy microwave and cook fresh in 2 mins as you serve)
• Boil broccoli for 8-10 minutes

Can be stored for 3 days in the fridge. Warm through thoroughly when re heating

✨5 MINS TO SERVE✨
• Microwave rice and broccoli for 2 mins (if it’s been stored in the fridge). Stir, then cook for a further 1 minute
• While that’s warming, fry cooked king prawns in spray oil, (lazy) garlic and a good helping soy sauce until the prawns start to brown off in the soy (approx 2 mins). Then drop to a low heat, add a bit more soy sauce and a tsp of honey and stir in for up to 1 minute
• Serve all immediately with a drizzle of sweet chilli sauce

Under 450 calories

✨PORTIONS✨
65g dry rice per portion
2 packed tenderstem broccoli for 3 portions
1 full pack king prawns per portion

SAVE for a healthy, convenient meal prep option 📲
