Meet Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist & MSK Sonographer, Guy 👋

Guy is passionate about helping people understand the why behind their pain and injuries, rather than simply fighting fires.

With over 15 years of experience, he uses his clinical expertise to find the root cause and create a personalised plan to help patients get back to doing what they love.

And don’t just take our word for it… 👀

“From my first appointment with Guy I have been treated wonderfully with the highest level of care, respect and expertise I have ever experienced from a physiotherapist.” - Alison ⭐️

Fun fact? Guy says his hidden talent is organisation, specifically in regarding the ability to pack the dish washer and car! Ask him about it at your next appointment 😂🙌

Strong spines 💪

Joseph Pilates famously said, “You are only as young as your spine is flexible.”

And while we might not agree that flexibility is the only measure of a healthy spine, there’s definitely something in the idea that looking after your spine can help you keep moving well for years to come.

Back pain is incredibly common - but that doesn’t mean you just have to put up with it.

For many people, the right kind of movement and exercise can play an important role in reducing pain, building strength and confidence, and preventing future problems.

That might be Pilates, a personalised exercise programme, physiotherapy, or a combination of all three.

If back pain is getting in the way of the things you love, our experienced physiotherapy team can help you understand what’s going on and create a plan to get you feeling better, moving better and living better 🙌

When your Pilates class turns into a team sport 😂

There’s something about teaming up for certain exercises that makes the wobbles, the challenges and the “how am I supposed to balance on this?!” moments that little bit more fun.

There’s a lot going on here! The core is working hard, glutes are firing, and balance and stability is being challenged. 💪 We love to see it!

Confidence is one of the most important things we hope every patient leaves with.

👣 Heel pain that's worst with your first few steps in the morning? It could be Plantar Fasciitis.

That sharp pain under your heel isn't something you just have to "put up with" – and it's often very treatable.

Common signs of Plantar Fasciitis include:
✔️ Pain under the heel, especially first thing in the morning
✔️ Pain after sitting for a while or a long car journey
✔️ Discomfort after exercise
✔️ Tight calves or Achilles tendon

You're more likely to develop Plantar Fasciitis if you:
👟 Have recently increased your activity levels
👟 Spend long periods standing
👟 Exercise with tight calf muscles
👟 Wear unsupportive footwear
👟 Are regularly exercising on hard surfaces

5 simple things you can try today:
1. Ice the area for up to 20 minutes (wrapped in a towel)
2. Roll your foot over a golf or tennis ball to ease tightness
3. Stretch your calves and the sole of your foot regularly
4. Swap high-impact exercise for lower-impact options while it settles
5. Choose supportive footwear and avoid walking barefoot where possible

If your heel pain has been hanging around for weeks or keeps coming back, it's worth getting it assessed. Plantar Fasciitis doesn't always settle on its own, and the sooner we identify what's causing it, the sooner we can get you moving comfortably again.

Treatment may include hands-on therapy, tailored strengthening and stretching exercises, taping, and for some people, Shockwave Therapy to help stimulate healing and reduce pain.

📍If heel pain is stopping you from enjoying walks, exercising or even just getting through your day, we're here to help.

Book an assessment with our team and let's get you back to moving confidently.

Put your hand up if you love foam rollers! 🙋‍♀️

They might look like a simple piece of equipment, but don’t let them fool you… foam rollers are brilliant for challenging your balance, improving your core control and making you think about every movement a little bit more.

Some people love them. Others see them come out and think… “uh oh!” 😂

So tell us…

🙌 A) YES! I love foam rollers.
🫣 B) They make me a little nervous…
🤔 C) I’ve never used one before!
