August is Hair Loss Awareness Month
Hair loss can affect anyone - women, men, and people of all ages and the emotional impact can be just as significant as the physical changes we see.
One of the most important things I tell my clients is that hair loss is not one single condition. There are many different causes, including hormonal changes, nutritional deficiencies, stress, illness, genetics, inflammation and scalp conditions.
That’s why getting the correct diagnosis matters.
I look beyond the hair itself, using a detailed consultation and trichoscopic examination to help identify what may be contributing to your hair loss and create an appropriate plan moving forward.
If you’ve noticed increased shedding, a widening parting, reduced density, changes around your hairline or simply feel that your hair isn’t what it used to be, don’t ignore it. Early assessment can make a real difference.
