Our aim is simple, to provide high quality and affordable independent therapy to children and families to help build skills to develop functional independence. We provide assessment, treatment and advice in relation to a child’s functional difficulties within the home environment and can provide advice and recommendations for use within a child’s educational setting
At present we cover Bedfordshi
re, Hertfordshire, areas of Buckinghamshire and Cambridgeshire for face to face assessments. Who we treat
Children aged 0-19 years or up to 25 years with Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) in place. Any young person with functional difficulties including (but not limited to):
• Fine motor skills, hand strength, fine motor grasps and dexterity
• Tool use including handwriting, scissors skills and cutlery
• Activity of daily living skills (ADLs) - self-care, eating, drinking, toileting, dressing
• Visual perceptual difficulties
• Sensory processing difficulties
• Positioning including specialist seating
• Coordination difficulties
• Increased tone and reduced upper limb functioning
• Children that require specialist equipment including specialist postural seating, bathing equipment and minor home adaptations. Conditions (but not limited to):
• Cerebral palsy
• Muscular dystrophies
• ASD and sensory processing difficulties
• ADHD
• Dyslexia
• Developmental coordination disorder / dyspraxia
• Joint hypermobility
• Genetic conditions
• Trisomy 21 (Down syndrome)
