Old Shenfield Place Residential Care Home in the Heart of Shenfield, Essex With roads leading to London and Colchester, Shenfield is well connected to the neighbouring area.

Old Shenfield Place is a beautiful Edwardian building situated in the heart of Shenfield, a quiet town and former village surrounded by beautiful scenery. Not far from the train station and bus routes, our care home is easily accessible whether you are travelling from far away or just around the corner. We know that moving into a care home can sometimes be a difficult transition, but regular visit

s from family and friends can make all the difference. We encourage our residents to enjoy each others’ company and all our local area has to offer, and to never say no to some fresh air and a nice hot drink in our local cafes. Connectivity is hugely important to us here at Old Shenfield, which is why we have a mobility-friendly vehicle available to support our residents in getting out and about whenever possible. For us, it is vital our residents and their families have the ability to choose how and where they spend their time.

🎶 The Dodgy Jammers are back! 🎶

What a wonderful time we had this past week welcoming back the Dodgy Jammers to OSP Care Home! 🎤🎸

Singing along to all the fan favourites, tapping our feet and enjoying the warm weather in the back garden. ☀️🌿 It was lovely to see everyone joining in, chatting and enjoying a cup of tea or coffee together. ☕️❤️

Today we had a very special visit from our care home friend, Milo the dog! 🐶❤️

Milo spent time going around saying hello to all our residents, bringing plenty of smiles, cuddles and joy along the way. It's wonderful to see how happy his weekly visits make everyone.

☕ Another wonderful month at our Dementia Café! 💕

It was lovely bringing members of our community together for an afternoon filled with arts and crafts, fun exercises, laughter and plenty of conversation. 🎨🧘‍♀️😊

These sessions are such a wonderful opportunity to connect, make new friends, share experiences and enjoy some quality time together in a warm and welcoming environment. ❤️

💙 Join Old Shenfield Place for our Memory Walk 💙

On Thursday 10th September, residents, families, friends and members of our local community will be coming together for a special Memory Walk in support of Alzheimer’s Society.

We’ll be leaving Old Shenfield Place at 11:00am and walking through the community to Roses Bakery in Shenfield, where we’ll join local shop owners, friends and supporters to help raise funds and awareness for this important cause.

Everyone is welcome to join us, whether you would like to walk with us, make a donation or simply come along and show your support.

💙 Dress code: BLUE

We would love to see our local community come together and make this a memorable day for our residents while supporting the incredible work of Alzheimer’s Society.

This past weekend, we joined in the celebrations for India’s Independence Day with a wonderful sensory experience filled with colour, creativity, art, food and music. 🎨🍛🎶

Our residents had great fun getting creative with India-inspired sand art and colourful activities, while enjoying and exploring the sights, sounds and flavours of this vibrant culture. ❤️

At OSP, we love celebrating and embracing different cultures, traditions and experiences together, especially as our staff represents such a diverse and multicultural community.

It was wonderful to see our residents getting involved, sharing smiles, discovering something new and enjoying the celebrations together

What a journey it has been! We’ve loved celebrating every special moment with our wonderful staff member, Shalima, from the exciting day we found out she was having a baby boy 💙 to recently showering her with love and good wishes before she heads off on maternity leave.

Shalima, we’ll certainly miss you while you’re away, but we’re so excited for you as you begin this beautiful new chapter. Wishing you a safe and restful maternity leave, and most importantly, lots of precious cuddles, love and unforgettable moments with your little boy. 💙🍼

What a wonderful Saturday we had at OSP! ☀️🌈

Our backyard was filled with sunshine, laughter, music and plenty of colour as family, friends and loved ones joined us for a fantastic barbecue.

There was delicious food, dancing, singing, a live singer and musician, children running around having fun, and even some fish feeding! 🐟🎶💃

It was such a lovely day spent together, making happy memories and enjoying the simple joys of being with family and friends. ❤️

This week we had the pleasure of celebrating 2 birthdays!

Ray celebrated a very special milestone turning 80!! 🥳💙

We celebrated the special day outdoors together, with birthday cake and a lovely gift to mark the occasion. 🎁🍰

It was a truly touching moment as Ray became emotional, with tears of joy as he celebrated his special day surrounded by loved ones here at OSP. ❤️
