For some couples, the hardest part of needing care isn't the care itself; it's the fear of being separated.

It's common for one partner to need a lot of support while the other needs very little, just not in the same way. One person might be physically well but living with memory loss, while their partner is sharp as ever but finds getting washed or dressed each morning harder than it used to be.

Live-in care can be built around both people, not just the one with the most visible needs, so couples can stay together, in their own home, with their routines intact.

We've been asking our customers a simple question: if there was one thing we could do for you, what would it be?

For Mr JK, the answer was simple! 'I'd love some fish and chips, and some time with my two favourite ladies, Bibi and Kayley.'

He thought he'd have to choose. So when the team walked in with a big hello and a little surprise, he lit up: "My two favourite ladies!" not realising he was about to get both.

Chips, chat, and laughter like old friends catching up. It's a small thing on paper. But watching it unfold was genuinely magical.

It's an easy thing to put off; a blood pressure check doesn't feel urgent, especially when there's nothing obviously wrong. But high blood pressure often has no symptoms at all, which is exactly why Know Your Numbers Week exists.

For some of our customers, getting checked regularly means a bit of support: a reminder about the appointment, help getting there, or just some company while it's done. Small things that make it more likely to actually happen.
