Yesterday, we had the privilege of caring for a much-loved lady on her final journey to Loughborough Crematorium. 🤍
There was also a lovely connection from many decades ago, as she had once been our funeral director’s dinner lady from primary school— a reminder of just how closely our paths can cross again throughout life.
Family and friends came together to remember her, sharing stories, smiles and plenty of laughter.
Her beautiful floral tributes filled the day with colour, perfectly reflecting her wonderfully bright personality. 🌸💐
There were smiles, laughter and even a little dancing in the chapel to Sweet Caroline — a wonderful reminder that a funeral doesn’t always have to be entirely sombre.
One comment from a family member summed it up beautifully:
“We’ve had a morning of laughter today. It hasn’t been a funeral, it really has been a celebration of her life.”
And that’s exactly what it was — a farewell filled not only with sadness, but with smiles, laughter, love and memories of a lady who was clearly loved by so many.
It was an honour to be entrusted with her care and to help give her a farewell that truly reflected the lady she was. 🤍
