Dermal filler is not a school holiday impulse buy. It deserves the same thought as any other decision that changes your face. Nobody plans a b**b job on a Tuesday because they saw a nice one on Instagram, and filler deserves that same level of respect. It is a medical procedure with real risks, even when it is done beautifully and conservatively. In my clinic, a big part of my job is slowing things down, asking awkward questions, and sometimes saying, “I do not think that is the right move for you.” If your practitioner has never talked you out of anything, I would have a little think about that. If you are curious but want a calm, no pressure chat, message me and we can book a consultation with zero expectation to treat on the same day.

Let’s talk about peels

First up retinol peels. You will get results much quicker with the a clinic treatment because I have a much stronger product. You can expect to see firmer skin, less lines and wrinkles and even skin tone. The results seen here are purely from a course of retinol peels. Simple skincare was used between these treatments (cleanser, moisturiser and SPF).

Serious results with minimal downtime.

If your skin is looking a bit flat lately, it often is not because you are tired, it is because your skin turnover has slowed down. When cell renewal drops off, dead cells hang around on the surface for longer, and the light just does not bounce the way you want it to. That is why your complexion can look dull even when you are doing all the right things. Getting that process moving again is usually the single biggest shift my patients notice, sometimes after just one good treatment. Radiance is rarely about adding more glow products, it is about clearing the traffic so fresher cells can come through. I have a few options I reach for depending on your skin and your week, from gentle brightening treatments to slightly more active plans if you are ready. If this sounds like you, send me a message and tell me what you are using at the moment, and I will point you in the right direction.

Sometimes I will say “no” ❌

You might be doing all the right things already. Life situations might need to calm down and settle first. You might expect too much from your treatments here, and really surgery is the only way to get the result you want. You might have a medical reason it’s unsafe for me to treat you.

Either way - you should know if you come to me, I won’t treat you if it’s not appropriate.

When someone comes in wanting the full list on day one, I usually smile and say, slow down, lovely, there is no rush. I get it, you have had a scroll, you feel inspired, and you want to sort everything in one go. I gently pump the brakes and we pick one thing to do really well. Then we let it settle properly, see how your skin responds, and check in on how you feel when you look in the mirror day to day. It is kinder on your skin, friendlier on your budget, and it keeps your head nice and calm through the process. You can always add more later, but too much too soon can leave you chasing your tail. Most of my happiest clients are the ones who took the steady route, even if they were impatient at the start. If this sounds like you, pop me a message and we will build a sensible plan together.

Pigmentation is a 🐶

This is a problem I see a lot in clinic. It can be years worth of sun damage, sometimes it is darkness after spots or could be melasma. Either way it is hard to shift. We really need to hit it hard - to remove the pigment that is already there but also to prevent new pigment from forming.

What treatment would I be booking in for?

The sun has gone. The rain is back. We’re in the ‘ber months. Party season is on the horizon.

I’d be booking in for a course of treatments: microneedling, peels or skin boosters. (Or maybe even a combination of these!)

These treatments need a course to get the best results, meaning you need 3-4 months. If you’re thinking about looking your best for party season, book in for a consultation and we can decide which treatment would be best for you

Fine lines are rarely a straight line to age. They are often a clue about how well your skin is being supported day to day. Collagen gives structure, hydration gives bounce, and you need both if you want skin that stays calm and resilient. When the barrier is strong and the skin is properly hydrated, lines tend to look softer whatever your birth certificate says. That is why I am always more interested in building strength than chasing a quick surface smooth. In clinic, the biggest shifts I see come from a proper skin plan that supports the skin to behave better, not just look shinier for a week. If your skin feels tight, thirsty, or a bit reactive, it might be quietly asking for barrier help. Send me a message and I will talk you through how we can build a stronger skin barrier for you.

Bad work shouts…
Good work whispers

The aim of the treatments I provide is to help support your natural proportions and movement. Not to completely change the way you look.

People should look at you and think “wow she looks great” not “oh my god, what have you had done?”

Looking after your skin does not make you vain. Can we retire that idea once and for all. Wanting to feel good when you catch yourself in the mirror is a very human instinct, it is the same reason you reach for the outfit you love on a big day. I see it in clinic all the time, people come in saying they feel silly for caring, then they leave looking lighter because they finally did something for themselves. You are allowed to invest in feeling like you again, and it usually shows up in your posture, your energy, and the way you take up space. Skin treatments are personal, so I always start with a proper chat about what is bothering you and what you actually want to see change. If there is one thing you have been quietly putting off, message me and we can talk it through, no pressure and no judgement.
