Who knew your morning sing-along was actually a workout in disguise?!

Forget HIIT, we’re all about HIIS : High-Intensity Interval Singing!!!! Plus, the best part? There’s usually cake waiting for us afterwards. Balance is everything, right? 🍰😋

Looking for a friendly singing session in Aylsham? 🎶✨

We're a mixed ability, friendly and supportive group that will give you a warm welcome! We use a variety of song styles and genres to maximise engagement and enjoyment while helping people gain confidence singing with others and increasing physical and social activities.

We start with gentle physical and vocal warm-ups, then explore songs with rounds, harmonies, and simple parts, all in a welcoming, supportive space. It's a wonderful way to boost confidence and meet new friends!!!!

🎉 Ten Years, Extra Sprinkles! 🎉

Last week we marked Playing for Cake’s 10th birthday with a big, sing at The Sanctuary at St Andrews Methodist Church as part of the Creative Sheringham Festival - and it was everything we hoped for and more.

120 people joined us for stories, songs and (of course) plenty of cake. Inspired by the late Tommy Bell’s idea to bring all our groups together, the event blended heartfelt moments from our Cakers with performances from the Aylsham and North Walsham groups, The SUBs, The Cupcakes, and a very special debut from our youth choir, The Lobstars!

What an afternoon!! What a celebration!!

A massive thank you for everyone involved!!!

Ever felt that sudden burst of courage when your favourite song comes on? 🎶

It’s what we're going to call ‘Micro-Bravery’!!!! That moment when you get so lost in the music that the worries of the world just... float away. ☁️

And there is a science behind this! When we’re singing together, the music creates this beautiful ‘safe space’ where we feel brave enough to take those tiny risks: like trying a new song or finally letting that voice be heard outside of the house!
