As a qualified Menopause Movement Coach, bone health is something I really want more women to understand through perimenopause and menopause.

This stage of life isn’t just about managing symptoms. During perimenopause and menopause, declining oestrogen can affect bone density and increase the importance of protecting muscle and bone health.

That’s one of the reasons strength training matters so much. 💪

It isn’t simply about looking strong. It helps support muscle, balance, function, confidence and bone health — all things that can help us stay active and independent for longer.

We can’t prevent every fracture, but we can take steps to support our strength and bone health now. 💙🦴

And where there are concerns or risk factors, getting appropriate medical advice and support matters too.

Strong women deserve more than a workout. They deserve informed support 💙

Save this post — and share it with another woman who needs to know why strength training matters through perimenopause and menopause. 💙

There’s honestly nothing like the sound of these engines in person or the vibe of the campsite after a full day of racing.

Drop a 🏁 if you’d love a weekend like this!

That quote really resonated with me. 💪🧡

Women can spend a significant part of their later lives in poorer health — and for me, that’s one of the biggest reasons why movement through midlife matters so much.

Not because we need to exercise harder.

Not because our bodies need “fixing”.

But because strength, fitness and regular movement can help us protect the body we want to keep living in for many years to come.

As a Menopause Movement trained coach, I understand that menopause isn’t the end of your fitness journey.

It can be an opportunity to move differently, build strength, support your long-term health and rediscover the joy of being active.

And because menopause affects every woman differently, there is no one-size-fits-all approach.

You might want to:

💪 Build or maintain strength
🚶‍♀️ Move more in everyday life
❤️ Support your cardiovascular fitness
🦴 Protect your bones
⚡ Improve your energy
🧠 Support your mood and confidence
🥊 Or simply find a type of exercise you genuinely enjoy again

Whether you’re returning to exercise after a break or you’ve realised the way you used to train no longer feels right, you don’t have to figure it all out alone.

Exercise isn’t about punishment or perfection.

It’s about feeling stronger.
Feeling healthier.
Feeling more confident.
And feeling more like you again. 🩷🩵

Together, we can find the type of movement that works for you, build strength for the future and create healthy habits that actually fit your life.
