Recovery isn’t what happens after your hybrid event. It’s what happens for it.

I’m looking for three people to work with as part of an Apeks case study.

I want to follow the full picture, not just one appointment. That means working together through the final part of your training, timing treatment around the event, and seeing how your recovery feels afterwards.

The four-session package includes:
• a new client appointment
• two pre-event appointments
• one post-event appointment

In return, I’ll ask for some short video clips, a few photographs during appointments, and your honest feedback. We’ll agree everything beforehand, and you won’t need to speak to camera unless you want to.

The four appointments are offered at a special case-study rate for the three people taking part. It isn’t a general discount or promotion, the rate is specific to this case study.

Recovery doesn’t have to look the same for everyone.

In just over two weeks, I’ll be starting my Monday clinics in The Skin Ward treatment room inside Ashley Gamble Hair Salon, Shifnal.

If we haven’t met, I’m Shane, a Level 3 Sports Massage Therapist and performance and recovery specialist.

I know booking with someone new can come with questions, particularly if you haven’t had a sports massage before. If you’re wondering what to expect, whether it might be suitable for you or what to book, please just message me.

I’m happy to listen, talk through what you’re looking for and explain honestly how I think I may be able to help. If you’d then like an appointment, I can book you in directly.

Online and app booking through Vagaro will also open at the end of next week.

Cupping gets attention because of how it looks. For me, what matters is why I’m using it.

It isn’t simply a case of placing the cups and leaving them there. Cupping can be used statically, glided across an area or combined with movement depending on what we’re working on and what is right for you.

Used thoughtfully, it can help ease restriction, support movement and work alongside the hands-on treatment within your session.

I won’t use a technique just because it looks impressive. It has to have a purposeful place in your treatment.

If cupping is something you’re curious about, or something you’d like to try, you can always ask me. We’ll talk through what it involves and, if it’s appropriate for you, I’ll build it into your session.

Cupping can be included within both my mobile appointments and my Monday clinic appointments at The Skin Ward (located inside Ashley Gamble Hair) in Shifnal, from 7 September.
