Alfie and Olly have spent a lot of time and effort organising something truly meaningful — a full 90‑minute, 11‑a‑side football match with managers, food stands open all day, and a donation box at the entrance.
They’ve created this event in memory of Alfie’s sister, who tragically died by su***de just three months ago. Their goal is simple but powerful: to turn heartbreak into purpose and raise as much money as possible for mental health support.
This day means everything to them, and they’re hoping the whole community will come together to make it unforgettable.
OPEN MINDS UNITED vs MIND OVER MATTER FC
16th August – 10AM Kick Off
Shildon Football Stadium
Free Entry – Everyone Welcome
There’ll be food stands open throughout the day, a donation box at the entrance, and a proper full match — 90 minutes, 11‑a‑side, with managers on both teams.
This isn’t just a football match.
It’s a message.
It’s a reminder.
It’s a chance to stand together, break the stigma, and show that mental health matters.
Please share this, bring your friends and family, and help Alfie and Olly get the turnout this day deserves. Every donation and every person who shows up makes a real difference.
