🥛 Cows Milk Allergy and reflux Group Drop-in session's 🥛

All parents of children registered at our surgery are welcome to attend paediatric Nurse Lisa Philips-German's drop in group sessions held at Cobblers Vaccination Centre entrance on the below dates and times

We have also been trialling pre - bookable early morning and late evening appointments since 5th May
Almost every day we have 2 - 4 appointments available which are bookable in advance and some days we have 6 available.

⚠️Unfortunatley lots of these appointments are being booked and then not attended!

❌28 pre-bookable appointments have been wasted since 5th July!

Please contact the surgery as soon as you know you are unable to attend an appointment.
Frequent DNA's could result in removal of you from our practice register.

A red heat-health alert is in place across southern England and the Midlands. This means extreme heat could affect everyone, including healthy people, and may also impact transport, food, water and energy. This is only the second time a red alert has been issued, the last being in July 2022.

A precautionary update has been issued nationally about a specific batch (GR174091) of Ramipril 10 mg capsules manufactured by Crescent Pharma. A small number of cartons from this batch may contain Ramipril 5 mg capsules instead of 10 mg. Most patients will not be affected.

If you take Ramipril 10 mg, please check the batch number on the outer carton and, if it matches, check the capsules inside (10 mg are marked “R/10”, 5 mg are marked “R/5”).

If the correct 10 mg capsules are present, no action is needed and you should continue taking your medicine as prescribed.

If 5 mg capsules are found, please contact your dispensing pharmacy for advice and a replacement.

Both strengths are commonly used to treat high blood pressure, heart failure and kidney disease, and taking a lower dose is not expected to cause immediate harm.

Please do not stop taking Ramipril unless advised by a healthcare professional. For further advice, contact main pharmacy at James Cook Hospital on 01642 850850.
