GP Patient Survey

The annual NHS survey gathers patient feedback from January 2 to April 13 through online and postal questionnaires.
It reflects patient views on making appointments, access to online services and out-of-hours services, offering a practice-level look at how surgeries are performing across England.
According to the 2026 GP Patient Survey, two Southend practices came out on top with 92 per cent of patients rating their overall experience as good.
Rising to third place is Dr Kumar & Partner at Shoebury Health Centre, which received an 88 per cent positive rating.
Shoebury Practice Dr Palacin & Dr Nzemeke (Shoebury Health Centre) received 83 per cent positive rating

Ongoing Phlebotomy Services for Shoebury Health Centre Patients
We would like to update all of our patients regarding the ongoing situation following the upcoming closure of the blood testing service at Norton Place.
We have been advised that the phlebotomy service at Norton Place will cease in mid-September.
Our Commitment to Support You
We understand that traveling further afield can be a significant challenge for some of our community. Both practices at Shoebury Health Centre fully intend to offer a localized blood testing service specifically for our elderly and vulnerable patients who would experience severe difficulties traveling to alternative sites at The Plaza or the Valkyrie Road Primary Care Centre once the local service stops.
What Happens Next?
Our teams are currently working hard behind the scenes to plan exactly how this service will look and be delivered.
We will share further updates with you as soon as these plans are finalized. Thank you for your patience and understanding while we secure local care options for our most vulnerable patients.

Flooding Update
We are still doing some tidying up behind the scenes but we are operating normal service to our patients.

Due to the heavy rain the health centre had experienced extensive flooding which has got into the electrics . Please be advised that normal services may be disrupted tomorrow thank you for your understanding. The managers are working with NHSPS to resume normal business ASAP. We will update in the morning

Mounjaro Information for our patients

We understand the media is reporting that Mounjaro is now available under the NHS, however this is ONLY to a limited group of patients.

You must be over 18, with a BMI of 40+, or 37.5+ if you’re from a Black, Asian or other minority ethnic background.

You must also have four or more weight-related health conditions, such as type II diabetes, hypertension and heart disease.

We cannot offer any weight loss drug for cosmetic or general weight loss.

This year our eligible patients 50 years and over or at risk patients can attend to have their FLU VACCINATION and/or their COVID booster (COVID vaccinations must be given at least 91 days apart) at our PCN hub which is based at:
