As part of Mental Health Awareness Week (May 11- 17), the Shropshire Mental Health Support (MHS) Wellbeing Bus will be at Frankwell Car Park, outside the Guildhall Reception, in Shrewsbury, on Friday 15 May 2026.

The Wellbeing Bus provides a welcoming and confidential space where people can drop in for free emotional wellbeing support and advice, whether they are concerned about their own mental health or are supporting someone else. The service offers a safe, non‑judgemental environment to talk openly about emotional wellbeing.

On the day, staff and volunteers from Shropshire Mental Health Support and Samaritans will be present to offer listening support, practical guidance and signposting to local and national services. The drop‑in is open to anyone, and no appointment or referral is required. Find out more here: https://orlo.uk/FGprX

Weather Update – Storm Goretti

Due to heavy snowfall and hazardous travel conditions caused by Storm Goretti, today’s GP practice services are operating at reduced capacity to ensure patient and staff safety.

Some appointments may be delayed, moved to telephone consultations, or need to be rearranged. Our team is doing everything possible to maintain safe care.

We will contact patients directly if appointments are affected or please attend as planned however if you wish to cancel your appointment, please do so via the NHS App or by calling the practice.

For non-urgent medical issues, please consider using NHS 111 online https://111.nhs.uk/

Thank you for your patience and understanding during these exceptional weather conditions. Stay safe and avoid unnecessary travel.
Further updates will be posted here and on our website.

📢 Important Update About Ordering Prescriptions

As many of you will already know, POD is closing next week.

To help keep things running smoothly, we’re asking all patients who are able, to order their repeat prescriptions through the NHS App. It’s quick, convenient, and the easiest way to manage your medication.
👉 You can download the NHS App and find a helpful guide here:
https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-app/nhs-app-help-and-support/

If you need help downloading or setting up the app, please pop in and speak to our reception team — we’re more than happy to support you.

We also have a new green prescription box located outside the surgery for anyone who prefers to drop their repeat slips in.

We also have a dedicated repeat prescription email address: [email protected]
Please only use this if you are unable to use the NHS App or post your request in our prescription box.

🔔 Please note:
We do NOT take repeat prescription requests over the phone.

Thank you for your support!

Help using the NHS App or the NHS website.
