Oxbow Manor care home provides tailored care in luxurious surroundings, including permanent and short-term residential, nursing and specialist dementia care. The home is divided into suites – collections of bedrooms with a dining room and lounge. Creating smaller communities makes it easier for residents to get to know each other and keeps hustle and bustle to a minimum. The home also has a café,

cinema room and a hair and beauty salon, as well as extensive gardens and outdoor spaces. The friendly team runs various group and personalised one-to-one activities. If your loved one wants to continue attending a local church or club, or perhaps they want to go out to enjoy a pub lunch or shopping trip, the team will support them to do so.

☀️Oxbow Manor’s Summer Fair! 🌸

Thank you to everyone who attended our summer fair.

The weather was perfect, the turnout was amazing and the atmosphere was wonderful, we truly felt so supported by everyone who came along.

It was wonderful to see do many people enjoying the day, coming together and supporting the fair. The fantastic atmosphere, smiling faces and incredible support helped to make it a real success.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to a wonderful day.

🌈 Tie-Dye Fun & Making Memories! 🌈

We were delighted to welcome some local children into our home to spend time with our residents and get creative together! 💜

Everyone had lots of fun making colourful tie-dye items, ready to be proudly displayed at our upcoming Summer Fair ☀️🎨

It was lovely to see different generations coming together, sharing smiles, creativity and plenty of laughter along the way. Our residents really enjoyed being involved and seeing the children bring such enthusiasm to the activity. 🥰

🌸💐 A little creativity, a lot of joy! 💐🌸

Our residents have been enjoying a lovely flower-arranging activity, choosing colours, textures and scents to create their own beautiful arrangements. 🌺🌿

Activities like this are about so much more than making something pretty. For people living with sensory impairment, flower arranging can provide valuable opportunities to touch and smell and connect with the world around them. The different textures and natural fragrances can stimulate the senses, while handling flowers and arranging stems can support coordination, concentration and confidence.

Most importantly, it’s a wonderful opportunity to socialise, express creativity and enjoy a sense of achievement.

A beautiful reminder that meaningful activities can brighten both our surroundings and our days. 🌷✨

Our residents have been busy helping to wrap the lucky dip prizes, getting everything ready for our Summer Fair! 🎉

While wrapping the gifts, it sparked some lovely conversations about childhood memories, favourite presents and gifts they received over the years. It was wonderful to hear everyone sharing their stories and reminiscing together. ❤️

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea in the café, with delicious cakes, tasty treats and plenty of smiles along the way. It was a lovely opportunity to relax, enjoy good food and spend quality time together. ❤️

Each bag is unique, colourful and made with plenty of creativity (and a little bit of fun!) by our wonderful residents. 💕 We can’t wait to see everyone’s creations on the day!
