This is a reminder that tomorrow, Friday 17th April 1-3pm we will be closed for a private placement ceremony.

Saturday 18th we are carrying out essential works so please, if you're wanting to visit this weekend, come along on Sunday.

-- GENERAL PUBLIC --

We have had a number of enquiries about coming to visit. Absolutely. We hold an open day on the first Sunday of every month. Our next open day will be Sunday 3rd May 10am-1pm. You can come along to just 'be' and experience the space.

If you're thinking about purchasing a niche, we can answer questions within the open days too.

🌾 Holding Grief, Growing Hope – A Community Call 🌾

Here at Soulton Long Barrow, we honour life, loss, and the cycles of the land. Our local guardian, Merryn Tenalach, also runs an incredible CIC serving the needs of our Shropshire community. Through this work, she holds safe, compassionate spaces for those navigating grief, from sudden loss and miscarriage to anticipatory grief and the quiet isolation that often follows life-changing events.

Her CIC offers community grief circles and specialist sessions where grief can be gently witnessed, supported, and held. These spaces give people the chance to process loss in a way that is relational, inclusive, and grounded.

We now have an opportunity to expand this vital work across Shropshire, but to unlock funding pledged by Shropshire Council, we must reach our full target on Spacehive. Without community support, this funding will be lost.

Every donation brings us closer to ensuring that no one in our community faces grief alone, and helps nurture spaces where hope can grow alongside remembrance.

We long to deepen our grief tending, training open-hearted volunteers and offering gentle, subsidised 1:1 support for those walking with sorrow.

​🍂 Dunnock – 1
​🐦‍⬛ Blackbird – 1 (Retrap)
​Summary: 15 birds recorded across 9 species. It’s always encouraging to see the mix of new birds and returning creatures!

I’m very sorry to share that, due to unforeseen circumstances, tomorrow’s (1st February) open day is cancelled.
