What happens after a cremation?

The ashes should be available to collect from our office within a few days following the service. When you come to our office to collect the ashes you will also receive a certificate from the crematorium stating the name of the deceased and the date the cremation took place.

A death in hospital - what has changed?

Since September 2024, all deaths in England and Wales undergo an independent review by a Medical Examiner. The Medical Examiner reviews the deceased’s records including the Medical Certificate of Cause of Death and speaks with the family directly, before submitting the necessary documents to the Registrar.
