I can remember the joy at finding out we were having you, the looks on our family and friends faces and the way that Leo proudly shared your scan.

I can remember the excitement as you grew inside me and the feel of the first kicks and wriggles.

I can remember the love that I felt for you when I found out you were so unwell and the overwhelming need to protect you once you were born.

For all of these things I am so grateful 💙💫

I reached £10,000 this year for SOFT UK...said I’d stop at £10,000.....not sure I can 😳☺️🤦🏼‍♀️

'It was my daughter who suggested that I consider doing the Grief Recovery programme as she had found it very helpful when she did it. Having read some of the Grief Recovery handbook I was not sure that it was totally relevant to my particular circumstances/life experiences. However, my daughter and wife convinced me that I had nothing to lose. On enrolling with Lucy Cowan receiving the handbook and meeting with her every week via Zoom. Lucy clearly explained the objectives of the programme and gently took me through each week with examples all done in an honest, safe and confidential enviroment. I am pleased I did the Recovery programme as it helped deal with many of the issues that I had not related to a family member, in doing so has allowed me to move forward, thank you Lucy and the Grief Recovery handbook.'

❤️ I have received so many heartfelt messages and kind gestures over the last 48 hours it has been really overwhelming.❤️

However, in truth, if I didn’t know so many kind and supportive people then I wouldn’t be able to plan any of these ridiculous challenges or raise the money.

I planned and took part in a 24 hour dance-a-thon yesterday which has so far raised £2,094.65 ( with gift aid)!! 😮

The target was set at only £200 as a step towards reaching my £10,000 target for later this year.

We are now only £55.35 off reaching my final target of £10,000!!

Yesterday was a day to remember ❤️
Messages, donations, people popping in, dropping off packages, stopping to dance for hours, bringing the tunes, the moves and our virtual visitors.

Fuelled on sweets, coffee and pizza all of the above gave me and my hard core team the boost to continue to the 24th hour. I think it was even fun 🤔 (although my calves are not speaking to me right now).

All the laughs, the moves, the singing and the tears ❤️

❤️ I wanted to share this with you all as my personal journey of fundraising and raising awareness has helped on me on my grief journey since losing my baby boy Albert ❤️

It is not selfish to try to meet your own needs.

To be the best version of yourself, and in turn be the best parent, carer, family member, friend or partner you need to be in the best possible place for your own mental health and well being ❤️

Thank you for this!
