We live in a world where social media constantly tells us we should look a certain way. If your algorithm is anything like mine, it can be easy to fall into the trap of thinking our worth is tied to our appearance. I’m here to tell you it’s not.
What I love about Pilates is that it shifts the focus away from how your body looks and onto how your body feels. Can you move without pain? Do you feel strong? Is your posture improving? Can you keep up with your children, enjoy a long walk or carry your shopping without discomfort?
Those things matter.
Of course, your body may change as you build strength and move more regularly. But for me, that’s a side effect, not the goal.
My hope is that every person who walks into the Red Bay studio leaves feeling stronger, more capable and more connected to their body than when they arrived 💁♀️
Feeling good in your body will always be more important than fitting someone else’s idea of what it should look like!
