As the post says, this one’s about …legacy…and the 🎼🎶🎤

It’s how someone we’ve never met can have SUCH an influence on our life; our relationship with others through that person’s music and how music helps shape our memories…so that, in a way, we never actually ‘lose’ people associated with music - because the music lives on…

These thoughts and feelings have come from the loss of Queen Dolly…and all she meant to C and her Nanna,💕💕💕 Dolly Parton 💕💕💕

When the detail came through about her murder…horrific *is* a strong enough word; truly shocking…

“Vulnerable” can be a ‘dirty’ word in - but, tragically, that’s exactly what Ann Widdecombe was in her small, rural village on the outskirts of Dartmoor.

No one would dare attack a 78yo woman in her own home, in the middle of the day…would they? Stop the world, I want to get off…

“I didn’t agree with her politics” - sorry, Nah, this was cold blooded murder, end.

Please join us in wishing our furry lil man a Very Happy 2nd Birthday!

And yes, the statement ‘thank the Lord I’m this cute!’ has helped in maintaining that life to 2yrs and counting…! 🤗🤗🤗

And Murphy would just like to add that these are 2 of his new birthday balls; there are a selection of other toys…but he finds these the hardest to destroy (CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!!!🤪)🐾🐾

We are (officially!) too old for this…BUT…it was worth it!!!

Teddy Swims on Thursday; Alanis Morissette on Friday & Lewis Capaldi on Sunday (praise be for a rest on Saturday people!)

Our latest talks about music *as* therapy and how we can sometimes relate so very strongly with a musician’s lyrics…

But, Wowza, was the overriding theme mental health! Loud and clear folks…

…and this w/e our inner teens come back out to play for Extreme & Def Leppard…thankfully we have seated tickets this time!🤦‍♀️🤘🤪

Today marks International PTSD Awareness Day. It's both amazing that there is recognition of such a chronic mental health condition, and sad that this needs to be the case.

As someone who has PTSD, I understand the myriad of different challenges it holds, from hyper vigilance, hyper awareness, (hyper lots of things!) To shut down emotions, overwhelming fears and sense of being not enough whilst also being too much!

It's a daily battle, often fought very much in private for fear that people won't understand. If this is you, we see you. Believe us when we say sharing your challenges really will help, find someone who will listen. That may be a friend, a relative, or a counsellor. But there will be someone. Take care of yourself!

Very nearly *2yrs* of now, and look what we’ve done….instead of focusing on GROWTH, GROWTH, GROWTH (like we did in Year 1); we’ve decided to reign things in a bit!!!

In our time thus far we’ve written 45 blogs; featured in U.K. & U.S. podcasts; been published in a book; held 2 retreats and 1 workshop…and continued to provide the online & walk/talk support that have become our most regular ways to reach out to people in need in the community.

Instead of looking to expand further, we are currently trying to own the expression “you can’t pour from an empty cup” and look after ourselves as our biggest priority - but we’re still here, never fear!

Do get in touch if you’d like to log interest in a future retreat or workshop…or have a blog topic to request!

In the meantime, Happy Sunday folks; what 1 thing can you do for *you* with the rest of the weekend that remains?

May is month! What does that mean to you? Will you take a moment to check in with a friend, colleague, or family member that you think might be struggling right now? Will you do something for yourself to promote better mental health? Will you ask for help? Make this the month you do something different. Mental health is just as important as physical health, yet we so often overlook it, take some time to see how you're really doing.

are 2 of The Best words in my humble opinion…

This morning’s had it all in terms of the fantastic canopy of the glorious trees in The Byes to *see* - the sun on your face to *feel* - the wonderful chirruping of the birds to *hear* - basically left, right and ruddy centre!!!

We also gave ourselves permission to take this weekend off from blog writing (usually it ‘drops’ fortnightly on a Saturday) - but we dared to stop and say No!
…which also gives us something to blog about (see what we did there!) 🤪

We hope you have been kind to yourself at the end of another week (my diary tells me that’s week 18 btw!) - before we embark on #19 hey!!!
