June 1 can be approached as a day of grounded beginnings—a chance to align your mind, body, and intentions as a new month unfolds.

Spiritual Focus: Set an Intention, Not a Prediction

Instead of asking, “What will happen this month?” consider asking:

* What qualities do I want to embody?
* Where can I practice greater awareness?
* What am I ready to release?
* What am I willing to trust?

A simple affirmation:

“I move into this month with presence, courage, and openness. I trust the wisdom that unfolds one step at a time.”

Yoga Focus: Root Before You Reach

Many people start a new month wanting to push forward. Yoga offers a complementary lesson: stability creates sustainable growth.

A short June 1 practice (10–15 minutes):

1. Mountain Pose (Tadasana) – 1 minute
* Feel both feet grounded.
* Notice your breath without changing it.
2. Cat-Cow Stretch – 1–2 minutes
* Gently mobilize the spine.
* Coordinate movement with breath.
3. Sun Salutations – 3–5 rounds
* Move mindfully rather than quickly.
* Let each breath guide the movement.
4. Warrior II (Virabhadrasana II) – 5 breaths each side
* Reflect on steady strength and clear direction.
5. Tree Pose (Vrksasana) – 5 breaths each side
* Practice balance without striving for perfection.
6. Seated Meditation or Savasana – 5 minutes
* Observe thoughts without following them.
* Return attention to the breath.

Reflection for the Month Ahead

After your practice, journal on this prompt:

“If I trusted my inner wisdom more deeply this month, what would I do differently?”

Yoga philosophy often teaches that progress comes from consistent practice and non-attachment to immediate results. June 1 is a good day to commit to the practice itself—showing up with awareness—rather than focusing solely on outcomes.

May this month begin with steadiness, clarity, and a sense of connection between your intentions and your actions. 🧘‍♀️🌿

Teaching yoga continues to remind me why I started this journey in the first place — creating a space where people feel safe, supported, and able to reconnect with themselves at their own pace.

Knowing that my classes help someone feel calmer, stronger, more grounded, or simply more at peace means more than words can say. I’m deeply grateful for every person who trusts me enough to step onto the mat with me, especially those starting their yoga journey for the very first time.
