A few photos from last nights TTC Wednesday session - rounders again! 🩵

Really proud of this community and what we’re building. What started as a small idea continues turning into genuine connection and support, and amazing people coming together each week.

We had an an incredible charity football match on Friday night at Sheppey United FC!

And despite the traffic challenges, and not even being fully sure if the game could still go ahead at one point - somehow, we managed. As we always do!

As for the fundraising total, we managed to raise a grand total of £𝟕𝟑𝟖.𝟓𝟑 for TTC!
An incredible amount raised, which will allow us to grow, create more spaces where people feel less alone, and to connect with one another - promoting positive mental health for all.
THANK YOU to each and every one of you for supporting us, whether that was donating or battling the awful traffic to be there on Friday. It seriously means a lot to all involved.

The match itself was a well fought contest, and TTC FC got the win!
But this event was much more than just a football match - it was about bringing people together for a good cause, connecting with one another and creating a positive space where conversations can happen naturally. It was truly amazing to see people hang around at the end of the match to chat amongst themselves and the players, seeing different worlds come together. 🩵

A MASSIVE shoutout to Shane Lawrence and the rest of the Masters team for organising the whole event and choosing to help raise funds for us. It means so much, and the funds raised will help us continue to grow, and reach more adults in the local area who feel isolated/lonely, need support with their mental health.

Onwards and upwards! 🩵⚽️

𝐓𝐓𝐂 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐳 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 #𝟐 📝🩵

And it was another great success! A really fun night had by all. 🩵

As you can see, we didn’t get loads of photos or any perfectly polished content, but that’s not what TTC is about. It’s about events like this - 50+ people in a room, laughing and just enjoying themselves. The room was certainly bouncing by the end of the night! 😆

It was so lovely to see so many of you there - and a massive thank you to The Beauty of Bath for hosting us once again!

And a really special shoutout to the TTC members this time round, who helped set up and pack down, and even hosted their own quiz round this time!
It’s really important to us that these events are run by the TTC community, 𝐟𝐨𝐫 the wider community, and I’m so proud of all the members who got up on the mic - speaking in front of 50-60 people takes real courage!

Together, we raised a grand total of £𝟑𝟔𝟎.𝟖𝟎 for the TTC community! (Which also tips us over £20,000 raised in total since 2021!)

Every penny will go back into creating more spaces like this - where people can get out, meet others, and feel a little less alone.

And it all builds towards something even bigger… The Connor Mackay Cup 2026 this July…

𝟐𝟕 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏 - 5 years to the day since the end of the 27 27 challenge, and the date that really kickstarted our fundraising efforts for Connor - to try to create a future where mental health is spoken about in a positive light, and to inspire action.

Since then, through football matches, quizzes, tournaments and community events, our Take The Conn community has raised £𝟏𝟗,𝟖𝟖𝟕 (including gift aid) for mental health charities, including the .

Thank you to each and every one of you that supports us and turns up every year to our events - our amazing community would literally not be possible without you.

From one small challenge to something much, much bigger. 🩵

On Friday night, all of Conn’s friends and family came together at Sheppey Utd for the Memorial Football Match in Memory of Connor Mackay 🩵 - and what a night it was!

Despite it being absolutely freezing (shout out to the spectators, you’re the real heroes 😆🥶) we we all showed up to remember Conn in the best way possible, and doing the thing he loved most - playing football.

Take The Conn of course came out 6-2 winners against Mackay Misfits 😜 - but it was far from a landslide! TTC actually went behind 1-0 before responding nicely to make it 2-1 at the break, and from there the energy dipped with the Misfits, but we stayed ruthless!

But honestly, the result does not matter. What really mattered was seeing all of Conn’s lot, and seeing so many genuinely happy smiles on everyone that night. Conn’s birthday can be quite an emotional time for all of us, so spreading some joy is all that truly matters.

After covering the pitch hire, we also raised £61.55, which will go straight back into Take The Conn. That amount alone can cover one of our sports sessions, multiple skill-share nights, or even our annual web hosting/admin costs.

Every pound matters.
And so does every person.

We’ll continue to push forward Conn’s legacy through TTC, we are not slowing down and there’s still so much work to be done for the community - and to make sure people can see their path clearly in life. 🩵

Thank you to everyone who played, came down to support, had a drink afterwards, or simply sent a message of support.

We’ll do it again next year. 🩵

We had an amazing night yesterday, bringing people together through movement, laughter and genuine human connection.

Nights like this are exactly why Take The Conn exists - creating safe, welcoming spaces for people to show up as they are and not feel alone.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support us and coming along - and for everyone that supported us with our quiz last Friday! Those funds raised have gone straight into hiring venues such as this to encourage human connection - so from the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU! 🩵

Our 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 TTC quiz night - and it’s safe to say it was a huge success!

Loads of smiling and happy faces, and an amazing night had by all - it’s what these types of events are exactly about. Thank you to everyone that came along and supported - and especially the wonderful team at The Beauty Of Bath that allowed us to use their space to host this.

And just to top it off, you generous lot managed to raise a total of £𝟑𝟖𝟖 for , which will go straight back into the community - creating spaces for adults struggling with their mental health to connect with others, and to help them find their way in this life. THANK YOU. 🩵

Our mission is very clear; to create a support network that could’ve helped our very own Connor 6.5 years ago - and with this event, we are one step closer to achieving just that. And we won’t ever stop.
