Today I had the pleasure of visiting New Hope Rehabilitation in Raithby, where I had a meeting with Jan and Tom from the team. We've been fortunate enough to work alongside NHR for the past three years, and it's always inspiring to see the incredible work taking place within the service and the positive impact it's having on people's lives.

It was fantastic to hear about the progress being made and to see how New Hope Rehabilitation continues to move forward, building stronger connections within the community. Their close working relationships with the Connectors, the Hub, and other local organisations are creating valuable pathways of support, helping individuals access the services and encouragement they need on their journey.

Partnership working is at the heart of building healthier, stronger communities, and it's encouraging to see organisations coming together with a shared vision of supporting people through challenging times. We look forward to continuing our partnership with the team at NHR and seeing the positive difference that collaboration can make for years to come.

Thank you to Jan, Tom, and everyone at New Hope Rehabilitation for the warm welcome and for the work you do every day. Together, we're helping to create a community where support, hope, and connection are always within reach.

Please support Spilsby Christian Fellowship this coming Saturday. They have a rummage sale from 10 till 12pm. Drop their page a message for more information or how you can support the Fellowship further with their community outreach.

There are no groups on at Spilsby Christian Fellowship this week, as we get stock out and prepared for our Rummage Sale this Saturday 10 til 12noon.
We are hoping that we will be able to open the doors to early bargain hunters on both the Thursday and Friday mornings, as we'd love to offer the optimum opportunity to find a bargain..
Bag a bargain with our Fab, Filll a bag for ÂŁ6 offer on all items, unless pre priced.

If you have a couple of hours child free either this morning Tuesday or Wednesday and can give us a hand setting up Vicki Ireland and I Judith Coe would be really greatful.. Just pop down... Thank you

Likewise if you are free Saturday from 12.30noon we are looking for volunteers to help us pack away..
Though we are hoping local charities will get in touch, to come and collect some free donations from what's left.. All they need do is contact me.

Hey guys, so a few of you asked where my bio was… so here it is.

My name is David Bruce and I’m the Senior Lead at New Life Community Church Spilsby, Co-Founder of Bro Pro UK, and a Lead Community Connector.

My journey in community work started at just 11 years old, helping out at Chislett Youth Centre in Kimberworth Park. Those early years shaped so much of who I am today, and I’ll always be grateful to the youth workers who believed in me, encouraged me, and helped guide my path.

I spent a time working in my cousins hotel, a beautiful few years with some cherished memories of staff & guests.

After that, I somehow ended up spending many years working in nightclubs (which was only supposed to last a year… lol). I then spent 6 years working in Special Educational Needs — a role I absolutely loved — and one that gave me opportunities to travel and learn from other countries about best practice and supporting people well.

Sixteen years ago, I walked into New Life Community Church for the very first time, and instantly felt at home. From church services and coffee mornings to where we stand today, I can honestly only say thank you — to the hundreds of volunteers who have given their time, energy and hearts to create safe places for people to meet, socialise, talk and belong within our communities.

I’d also like to personally thank:
• All the team at Chislett Youth Centre from the 80s & 90s
• The congregation of St John’s Church, Kimberworth Park
• The amazing people I got to do life with at The Quorn Hotel, Barfly & Rhinos
• The staff of Linkage in the 00s
• Every single person over the last 16 years who has believed in our vision
• My family and friends

But first and foremost, thank you to our beloved Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ — because without Him, none of this would have been possible. ❤️

Taking a moment today at Kenwick Park Spa to slow things down and reconnect!

Surrounded by nature, we are spending time forest bathing—simply being present, noticing the sounds, the air, the stillness—and following that with a gentle mindfulness session. In a world that often asks us to rush, spaces like this remind us of the importance of pausing, breathing, and just being.

Wellbeing isn’t always about big changes; sometimes it’s found in these quieter moments—stepping outside, grounding yourself, and giving your mind the space it needs. If you can today, take a few minutes for yourself… you deserve it.

Yesterday at Skegness Academy was a powerful reminder of the importance of simply being present. Taking the time to hold space, listen without judgement, and offer a steady, supportive presence allowed students to feel heard and understood. Through those conversations, we were able to gently signpost them towards the right support, reinforcing that they’re not alone and that help is always there when they’re ready to reach for it.
