🌱 Often, our skin reflects what is happening on the inside.

I’ve always been drawn to the wisdom of ancient Chinese traditions and medicine when it comes to healing, health and wellbeing.

The beginning of any skin journey, for me, is to look beyond the skin itself, starting with a deep dive into digestion, nutrition and what your body needs for support. This can change depending on the season, your stress levels, your lifestyle and your emotional wellbeing.

When we feel relaxed, nourished, happy and healthy, that inner wellbeing is reflected in the skin. ✨

Sometimes, we don’t need to spend lots of money on countless “wonder” products or follow every new skincare trend an influencer is selling. There is so much wisdom in keeping things simple: cooking from scratch, choosing organic and locally sourced ingredients where possible, and incorporating a variety of nourishing herbs and spices into your diet.

For clients who feel stressed, overwhelmed or simply not quite themselves and are looking for more radiant skin, skincare can certainly help. Although taking a holistic approach to the whole body can be even more beneficial.

One of the treatments I offer is an acupressure-point head, shoulder and scalp massage, which is incredibly soothing and deeply relaxing, particularly for clients carrying stress and tension.

It’s called “ Daoyin Tao” a beautiful blend of Eastern and Western therapeutic techniques designed to encourage relaxation, restore balance and support overall wellbeing.

As we move out of the warmer, more energetic yang months of summer and into a quieter season, it can be a wonderful time to slow down, restore and reconnect with yourself. 🌿

Sometimes, the most beautiful skin begins with simply taking better care of what’s happening within.

❓A question I have been asked many times over my career is, why don’t you create your own skincare brand?

The answer to this is simple, I’m not a scientist and to make skincare that works efficiently you need an incredible scientific brain, decades of research and development, plus a state of the art laboratory.

The two main skincare brands we work with are and because of the scientists and product manufacturing facilities, plus decades of research. The results we achieve from working with these brands is incredible.

Dr Des Fernandes the scientist behind is a world renowned plastic surgeon and worked on the first human to human heart transplant in 1967. He has spent decades researching the use of vitamin A in high enough doses to improve skin health. His knowledge and understanding of skin is second to none, in my opinion there is no equivalent science that matches his research. He is a humble global leader in skin health science.

We have high standards and chose to only work with brands that improve skin health. Our brands make a difference to the lives of our clients by making their skin as healthy as possible.

Some skincare on the market just sits on the surface to moisturise the surface and some skincare is made with ingredients that work on a cellular level to improve the health of the skin. We work with both, but predominantly the latter.

Skin is your largest organ of your body and your first line of defence to the outside world. What you purchase to care for your skin should matter, caring for your skin is part of caring for your health.

Understanding how your skin functions and what ingredients it needs to support optimal function is something we should all understand. Having a skin analysis with a skin scanner will indicate which skincare products your skin needs. This will alter throughout the year and also your life.

Different climates, lifestyle choices and genetics all play a role in the health of our skin. This is why we work with more than one brand as we all need different skincare.

✨To be ready for when you come to the studio we have usually done lots of preparation behind the scenes.

We have high standards and we like to make sure we offer you quality services in a clean environment.

There are many tasks we keep on top of to keep the business running smoothly, some of those tasks include:
🔸Responding to messages, emails, DM’s & WhatsApp
🔸Stock control, we never retail or use any products that have gone past their sell by date
🔸Website updates and product promotions
🔸Accountancy, finance & VAT
🔸Regularly attending training courses to keep our knowledge refreshed
🔸Cleaning, laundry, building maintenance and gardening
🔸Processing product orders and sending out deliveries. We have a new digital system starting in September that will be a massive help with this
🔸Looking after ourselves so that we can perform every treatment with 100% effort and accuracy

All of the above takes several hours a week. We love our job and what we do ❤️
