🕊💙A Celebration of the Life of Brian💙🕊
Brian was born at Skipton General Hospital and spent his early years at Deerstones, Bolton Abbey, before moving to Embsay with his parents and sister. Those roots in the Dales shaped a life filled with creativity, hard work, and a deep appreciation for the world around him.Throughout his working life Brian was a dedicated printer, employed by several companies over the years. He retired from CBF Keighley around three years ago, closing a long career marked by skill, reliability, and pride in his craft.
In his teenage years Brian enjoyed playing pool and drawing, early signs of the creativity that stayed with him throughout his life. As he grew older, he found joy in woodwork and painting—quiet, thoughtful hobbies that reflected his patient nature and eye for detail.
Brian loved to travel, especially across the U.S.A., where he explored new places with curiosity and enthusiasm. Spain also held a special place in his heart, where he visited his sister Jayne after she made her home there.
Brian leaves behind his loving wife Sue, his sister Jayne Woodrup , stepchildren Frankie and Stephanie, and his step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, all of whom will remember him with affection and gratitude.
A Celebration of Brian’s Life will take place at Skipton Crematorium on Tuesday 4th August at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at the service in support of Cancer Research UK.
Rest in peace Brian x
