One of the calls I'm most proud of came in at 6pm on a Friday.
A care home had just cancelled a bed.

The family were in pieces.

Their holiday was due to start the next morning. Their mum couldn't be left alone.

Waiting until Monday wasn't an option.

We had someone in the house by Saturday lunchtime. The family met her by video call that evening. Their mum was settled before they'd finished packing.

That's the reality of care. It doesn't happen on a schedule.

When a live-in carer is the right fit, you notice it straight away.

Your new seakr client is a 90 yr ex pilot with dementia in Milton Keynes. He is jolly and likes to chat about the news and trips out and about. Car drivers preferred, not essential. Personal and home care. Night time care is not required.

Please read Ula’s thoughts, she is a star ⭐️This is the real deal. This is why we do this. It’s hard, it’s frustrating and at times draining. Yet you keep on, for these small victories. For the carers that mean so much to the vulnerable adults that rely on them. Their’s is a difficult job. They do it with seakr because of your professionalism and perseverance. Reading aloud can have many benefits for the elderly, carers why not try reading to your client this

For the elderly who loved to read all their lives, listening to someone read to them can bring profound comfort and joy. Why not start a Read-Aloud Readers Group activity at your facility; a Book Club with a difference! Read-aloud activities are an intervention well worth pursuing.
