Last week was filled with creativity, companionship and delicious treats! 🌼☕🍰

To celebrate International Afternoon Tea Week, our residents enjoyed a superb afternoon tea, beautifully prepared by our wonderful chef – a huge thank you for making it so special!

We also marked International Daffodil Day by creating handmade daffodils and adding them to colourful flower arrangements, which now brighten residents’ rooms and communal areas throughout our home.

A lovely celebration filled with creativity, friendship and plenty of smiles. 💛

Our final Eastcoteyoungandwise of the summer holidays was another fun-filled and super-busy session! 💙

It was an extra-special and emotional day, as some of the children will soon be starting their exciting new adventure at school. We have loved watching them grow and seeing the wonderful friendships they have formed with our residents. 👧👦✨

Our Wellbeing & Lifestyle Lead, Jo, and Eastcote Young & Wise leader, Ruth, were also delighted to receive some beautiful thank-you flowers—a thoughtful ending to a truly special summer together. 💐💕

Meet Greg, our Head of Maintenance! 👋🔧

Since joining Eastcote Park in April 2021 as our Gardener, Greg has progressed to Head of Maintenance, helping to keep our home safe, welcoming and running smoothly.

Originally from Portsmouth, Greg has enjoyed a varied career, including working in retail, the RSPCA and running his own gardening business. He loves the variety of his role, meeting the people who live and work at Eastcote Park, and making a difference every day.

Outside of work, Greg enjoys photography, art and theatre, and takes particular pride in seeing our beautiful gardens at their best during the summer months. 🌿📸

It was so lovely to welcome our Eastcoteyoungandwise Intergenerational Club back after their holidays. 💙

These special sessions bring so much joy, laughter and companionship to our residents, while creating wonderful friendships across the generations.

Jo, our Wellbeing & Lifestyle Lead, and the residents received a touching thank-you card from Arthur, as this was his final session with us before starting school. We will all miss him and wish him lots of happiness on his exciting new adventure! 🌟📚

We’re proud to see Head Chef Nigel featured in the local press as he reaches the finals of the NACC National Association of Care Catering’s Care Chef of the Year competition! 🎉👨‍🍳

Nigel is passionate about creating delicious, nutritious meals using fresh, seasonal ingredients, tailored to our residents’ individual tastes and dietary needs.

At Eastcote Park, we know great food brings people together, creates memories and plays an important role in health and wellbeing. We’re incredibly proud of Nigel and his team!

Our residents love getting out and about! 🚌✨

From fun-filled bowling trips and relaxing coffee shop visits to exploring beautiful garden centres and National Trust parks, there’s always another adventure to enjoy and wonderful memories to make together. 💙

With the weather being so hot, we’ll be keeping everyone safe, cool and comfortable indoors in our air-conditioned rooms until it’s cooler for our next adventure! 🚐

Meet our Hospitality Supervisor, Ollie! 👋

Ollie started at Eastcote Park at just 16 as a part-time host while studying at college, his dedication and passion has seen him progress into the role of Hospitality Supervisor.

Today, Ollie oversees our dining areas, bar, club lounge and private dining room, ensuring every resident and visitor enjoys a warm, welcoming experience with person-centered service at the heart of everything he does.

Outside of work, Ollie enjoys playing hockey, golf and spending time with friends.
