If you wake up with hip, back or neck pain —-your sleeping position might be the problem.

Physio Will breaks down exactly how to set yourself up for a better night’s sleep and wake up without the stiffness.

Side sleepers - pop a pillow between your knees at around 45 degrees. This stops the hip dropping into adduction across the midline and takes the pressure off the lower back.

Neck pain when sleeping on your side - you want roughly a 90 degree angle between your shoulder and your head. If you are pushed too far into side flexion you will feel it in the upper trap by morning.

Back sleepers - keep your ear in line with the midline of your shoulder. Too far either way and you will wake up with stiffness at the front or back of the neck.

Small adjustments. Big difference.

If you are waking up in pain regularly it is worth getting properly assessed. Save this post and try it tonight.

We are on site today at the Festival of Sport at Packington Estate, Warwickshire - and we have already had a very special visitor through the tent. 🏉

England’s 2003 World Cup winner and British & Irish Lions legend Will Greenwood MBE stopped by for a hands-on assessment with our team. Safe to say even World Cup winners need a good physio.

We are here all weekend delivering on-site physiotherapy assessments for anyone who needs us. Whether you are a parent, a young athlete or someone dealing with a ni**le you have been putting off, come and find us.

No appointment needed. Just come and say hello.

Running Friday 24th to Monday 27th July at Packington Estate, Warwickshire.

📍 Find us on the grounds this weekend.

Our Birmingham Airport visit after movie.

Our physios were on site delivering hands-on assessments, identifying issues and giving the airport team the tools to manage their aches and pains and keep moving well at work.

This is what corporate wellbeing looks like in practice. Not a leaflet. Not a generic workshop. A proper physiotherapy team coming to you, assessing you individually and giving you real, practical advice built around your body and your job.

If your business would benefit from on-site physiotherapy support, we would love to hear from you.

Shoulder restriction is one of the most common issues we see in golfers and athletes and most people don’t even know they have it until it starts affecting their performance.

Here Tom is assessing a patient during our recent visit to Birmingham Airport, identifying a clear difference in range of motion between the left and right shoulder. Less range on one side means compensation elsewhere, and that is where injuries start.

The fix does not have to be complicated. Something as simple as a cable machine rotation drill, controlled movement, light weight, building gradually - can make a real difference over time.

If your shoulder feels tight, restricted or just not quite right, get it assessed properly
before it becomes a bigger problem.

Part 2: Understanding Inflammatory Arthritis

In this part, Kiran explains how inflammatory arthritis affects the body, the symptoms to look out for, and why it’s so different from everyday aches and pains.

From morning stiffness and swollen joints to pain in the hands, feet, and knees, recognising the signs early can make a real difference.

If you’ve been experiencing symptoms that don’t feel quite right, don’t ignore them. Getting the right advice early can help you manage the condition more effectively.

What actually happens when you have osteoarthritis?

A lot of people think it’s simply “wear and tear” - but there’s much more happening inside the joint.

In this video, Kiran explains what changes take place, why pain develops, and the symptoms you might start to notice as osteoarthritis progresses.

Understanding what’s happening is the first step towards managing it properly.
