🇯🇵Stone steps 😅

🌳Towering cedars

The hush of a forest that has held prayers for centuries💫

The climb to the top of Kurama is not effortless 😅

and I don’t think it’s meant to be.

With every step, something falls away.

The noise…The to-do list…The version of me that arrived at the bottom☺️

By the time you reach the top…You are not quite the same person who started climbing💜

Preeti and I climbed in near silence - and somehow said everything.

What would fall away for you, if you walked long enough? Food for thought🤔

This is the place✨

The very mountain where, in 1922, Dr. Mikao Usui completed 21 days of fasting and meditation…and received Reiki🙏🏼

Standing here, I felt the weight of it.

Everything I’ve practised. Everyone I’ve held space for.

Every quiet moment of healing since 2012 - it all traces back to this soil💫

There’s a humility that comes from standing at the source of something bigger than you.

It’s a reminder…You were never the origin of the energy…only ever a channel for it 💜

Sending a little of that mountain energy out to you all today🤗

🚠The little cable car climbs slowly into the hills…

and the city quietly falls away🌳

No rushing here☺️

The mountain decides the pace⛰️

I think that’s the first teaching Kurama offers you ✨

“You cannot hurry your way to something sacred”🫶🏼

So much of our growth works the same way.

We want the breakthrough “NOW”

But the subconscious shifts on its own rhythm…quietly, beneath the surface, one gentle turn at a time💛

😍Yesterday my sister Preeti and I set off into the mountains north of Kyoto…

heading to Mount Kurama - the sacred place where Dr. Mikao Usui first received Reiki🤗

Reiki has walked beside me since March 2012✨

And today, I get to walk toward its very beginning with my sister Preeti 💫🫶🏼

✨ Full circle ✨
On a bullet train to Kyoto 🚄
heading to Mount Kurama, the sacred mountain where Dr. Mikao Usui first experienced Reiki🤗

Reiki found me in March 2012.
It shifted me…Grounded me…Stayed with me 🫶🏼
And today I’m travelling to where it all began with my family💜
Energy doesn’t shout.
It guides you quietly… until you look up and realise you’re exactly where you’re meant to be 💛

💜Climbed over 400 steps to get to somewhere ancient and beautiful today.
Got to the top a little breathless…only a little 😅
and still goofed off like absolute kids🥹😂

The best travel buddy is the one who makes the in-between moments the best part😍
