Yesterday morning I had a few meetings

I won't bore you with the details but it's all very exciting, well I find it exciting 🤣

I saw the amazing space at EarthSpirit Centre where we will be holding some of the meetups in autumn/winter and I'm super excited.

I then had a meeting with Grahame Rowlands about what they do and offer.

I will be releasing the community meetup tickets soon so watch this space.

I had a bit of a week last week and not 1 but 2 award emails ended up in my inbox which turned out to be great timing. 😍

I'm super proud of this nomination but I find it hard to shout about it.

Running my business is like being on a rollercoaster you can't get off. If you know me I feel sick at the thought of a rollercoaster 🎢 🤣

Being recognised is the best feeling but when your a struggling business it's so much more.

Just a thank you, a hug or telling someone they are going in the right direction is all that it takes.

Plus liking and following on Socials too 🤣

Seriously, we don't tell each other enough.

So next time your at a networking event. Please tell a small business that you see them and they are doing great.

I still don't think this is real 🤣

What a fun morning we had today.

Thanks to everyone that attended the Community meetup this morning. In spite of the 🥵🔥

For a few weeks now I've been teasing Trophy Guy. All was revealed today.

Puk from Sana Wellness & Training is the first recipient of the Community Spirit Recognition award (not award).

She has been silently cheerleading and supporting other wellbeing businesses behind the scenes and she definitely needed some recognition for that.

Well done Puk. You get your own Trophy Guy to name and take out and about now!

Debbie Davidson was also the winner of a free ticket in "Spin With Lins".

I am a little shocked if I'm honest.

I've worked so hard to keep the community going.

Over the years there have been many times I thought about quitting as its only me, running everything.

Not a franchise, no extra outside help. Just me.

But I kept going, thinking about those who start out in business and how lonely it felt for me.

To be honest, I thought I wasn't in with a chance and then I got the email to say I'm a finalist of the Best Business Women Awards

Maybe someone is noticing. Maybe.

And maybe it's worth backing yourself. 🧡

Had a lovely time at Sam's business networking today.

Shame it was just the 2 of us! Where were all the local businesses?!

We talked about a range of issues and we had such a great conversation with the Year 10 young people that turned up for their work experience with Sam.

We learnt what the latest apps young people are using and how they find their info. Faciniating info for us small businesses.

As per usual I didn't come away empty handed.

A rare find on 2 fronts. A signed copy and a book I haven't read from my favourite local author CL Taylor. I thought I'd read them all!

I think i need to start budgeting more when I go to Sam's bookshop 🤣

I'm making it a habit

to make bad reels 🤣

We went to Weston on Saturday (Trophy Guy had a lie in so left him at home) and due to the wind we came home with an extra layer of clothing made of sand 🤣

Got a few crochet bits from Stitch by the sea.
