In less than 24 hours 😮

Since my first guest speaker event within Jude Hill, Energy healer 🙏Grief coach 💓 amazing community, I've seen these wonderful comments!

💷I never chose the subject in order to save people money but to show how much you get for £14 pm with Google Workspace and free Zapier account.

💪 But it inspired people to have a play, cancel their Zoom subscription and to make more use of what they already had.

✨️ That is more powerful for me than to just say X saves you Y.

👀 I actually showed them how.

Does the use of em dashes prove use of AI?

Recently, I’ve seen a lot of talk around the fact that if a post has em dashes in it then it’s clearly written by AI.

This is incorrect. Em dashes are not exclusive to AI.

I am fairly new to em dash, so I did a little digging.

My partner is a creative writer as well as a Solutions Architect. He told me he uses em dashes in his work as it is great for:

👉 Interruption of dialog
👉 Sentence structure and rhythm

I was curious that I had not come across this, so I pulled out a few pre-AI dated books to see if he was right. He was of course. He normally is! 😍

I looked at a cross section of the books I own and em dashes appear in fiction, technical books and therapy books. I shouldn’t be surprised as generative AI only learns from what has come before us and what has been uploaded to the internet. So it’s nothing new.

As you can see from my carousel there are a few examples of what I found. Depending on the font used within printed books, it can be hard to tell which are hyphens and which are em dashes. So I’ve highlighted them for you.

Therefore, as em dashes are not solely used by AI, it’s worth taking the content of the whole post into consideration.

👉 Why you think the author created it
👉 Does it match what you previously knew about the person?

To our boy!

He did it! He finally qualified today at nearly 3 years old.

It's been quite a journey for all of us that have been privileged to have known him.

Well done Bayley!

You take everything at your pace and there is no changing this whether we wanted to or not 🤣

Maybe it was because you knew your perfect owner was waiting for you and you wouldn't settle for anything less.

When we need a bit of a confidence boost we always ask ourselves "What would Bayley do?" and the answer appears. He would assess the situation and then go all in with full confidence.

Congratulations to all the trainers and our PDA at Guide Dogs and a very special congratulations to all his fosterers, boarders and to us, his puppy raisers.

And lastly to his Brood holder family as without them he might not have even made it to us to start his journey. He couldn't walk until he was 6 weeks old. They did a lot of physio with him.

Well done our funny, sassy boy. We hope you have a fabulous life with your new family. 🎊🎊🥳
