Hello and welcome!

It’s so lovely to see so many of you here, my name is Marie and I am the creator of The Beautiful Bear which is a nature school, parent village & soon to be postnatal space & very much somewhere for you to soak up lots wild wisdom ✨

A few facts about me:

🌿Nature has been my whole life, raised, lived and worked within it for my whole 40 years. Understanding nature is very much within my soul, my family has worked alongside it for hundreds of years.

🌿I am on my own little mission to connect people and families back to nature, to understand it, to protect it and to knowingly weave it into their everyday with ease.

🌿 I am 100% that person who will stop to rescue a snail on a footpath and say hello to any creature big or small I encounter.

🌿I have worked alongside families and have been teaching in different forms for over 20 years. Helping others where I can brings me joy! ❤️

🌿I LOVE charity shops, carboots, jumble sales and have a slight addiction to Vinted… I especially love it when I find something a little unique.

🌿I have three beautiful children with my hubby, our family is 🇬🇧🇯🇲🇲🇺 and we weave this heritage into our daily life through the joy of music, good food, the love of being outside exploring and sharing our days with friends and family ☀️

🌿I LOVE a garden centre or craft shop potter!

🌿I am dyslexic and the venue is definitely powered by ADHD magic ✨

🌿I LOVE creating and I’m always inspired by nature around me

🌿I LOVE a trinket, collecting nature treasure and learning old stories of things I find.

🌿I LOVE being a mum and supporting other women on their mothering journeys… the ups & the downs, the laughter and the tears. It’s messy and beautiful ❤️

But most of all I LOVE bringing all of my loves together and sharing it with you at The Beautiful Bear ❤️

Yesterday I welcomed the lovely team who run a nursery setting that is flourishing 🌿

Their gorgeous founder was keen for the team to come and have a day soaking up some nature play wisdom and a some time for them to slow down and soak up some nature magic ✨

We looked at creating natural invitations to play, the true value of nature treasure, identifying a whole lot of plants suitable for play and discussed the importance of empathy and wording towards our wild creatures big and small!

We barefoot walked in the woods and tuned into the daily bird song.

We sat in circle sipping nettle tea and sharing their own nature treasures & gorgeous memories.

Lastly to end the day on a snoozy note we relaxed with some drum meditation & needle felted their own little birds 🤩🌿

It was so lovely to meet you all ❤️

A sky full of Jackdaws

Every May the Jackdaws arrive into the woods, feasting on the caterpillars, chatting away to each other and creating these wow moments across the woodland sky 😍

Several times a day they are in the garden and of course two pairs have claimed our chimneys for the season and built nests.

They always leave by July.

I’m often asked how I come up with ideas, the answer will always be…. nature guides me ✨🌿

This week the children have been using charcoal to colour in their own cheeky Jackdaws and we have been looking closely at all the different caterpillars that have suddenly popped into life over the last few weeks 🐛

May Full Moon love to all you beautiful ones 🌸🌺🌹🌼

Mays full moon was given its name as this is when all the flowers really start bursting into full bloom 🥰

May is always a special one for me as it’s when I welcomed my first daughter and the flowers that where in full bloom where the bluebells & wisteria ❤️✨

We are finally back on the deck for woodland babies ❤️✨

Come and join me and other local mums for two hours of good conversation, welcoming energy, support & advice, baby wearing, b**b and bottle talk, birth & mothering chatter and every other topic in between… all whilst getting to actually drink a warm drink! 😘

We then head out for a woodland walk to soak up nature magic, working wonders for new mums along with some guided relaxation to help you unwind the tight shoulders and check in with all your senses.

Sling library also available with trained peer support & 10 years of baby wearing knowledge from me.

So if your looking for that baby group to help you navigate those first few months of motherhood, alongside other local mums, then this is for you x

It’s time to get the layers out!

Grab a cup of tea, get comfy and tune into what I have learnt over the last 9 years of keeping my children warm, dry and comfortable when playing outside.

Getting outside each day is so important for yours and their wellbeing, but there is nothing worse than cold hands and toes, wet clothes or the inability to actually move!

This is a longer video than normal, but hopefully worth the time investment ☺️🌦️☃️☔️

Come and join me on the 21st of December for your Winter’s Rest Retreat.

The fabulous will be joining me again to host an afternoon, early evening of winter magic.

Our bodies are calling us to slow down, get comfy and rest.

Along with seasonal wild wisdom, nature treasure, craft and nourishing food,
you will be guided by Lizzie, listening to your bodies needs. Then, like a wintering cocoon, I will wrap you in rebozos and blankets, lulling you with ancient sounds..

This retreat is already 3/4 full with only 4 spaces remaining so book now to avoid disappointment .
