💧 Could You Spot the Signs of Dehydration? 💧

Dehydration can happen to anyone, especially during hot weather, exercise, illness, or even a busy day when we forget to drink enough water.

🚨 Common signs to look out for:
✅ Headache
✅ Tiredness or lack of energy
✅ Dry mouth and increased thirst
✅ Dizziness or feeling light-headed
✅ Dark urine
✅ Muscle cramps

Early recognition is important and can prevent dehydration from becoming a more serious medical emergency.

💡 Top Tip: Don't wait until you're thirsty to drink. Sip water regularly throughout the day, particularly during warm weather or when you're active.

🚨 CHOKING CAN HAPPEN TO ANYONE, ANYWHERE 🚨

Would you know what to do if someone suddenly started choking?

A blocked airway can become life-threatening in minutes, but knowing a few simple steps could save a life.

✅ Encourage them to cough if they can still breathe or speak.
✅ If coughing isn't working, give up to 5 firm back blows between the shoulder blades.
✅ If that doesn't clear the blockage, give up to 5 abdominal thrusts (chest thrusts for pregnant casualties and infants).
✅ Continue alternating 5 back blows and 5 thrusts until the blockage clears or emergency help arrives.

📞 Always call 999 if the casualty becomes unconscious or their condition worsens.
