Sometimes content created to be positive and empowering, can have the opposite effect. Also, In my opinion therapy needs updating to suit the trends (i.e manifestation, the law of attraction and subconscious reprogramming) but most importantly to meet the needs of people who are neurodivergent and therapy needs to be tailored to the individuals mental health appropriately, using an unsuitable intervention or asking the wrong questions can be detrimental.

“You can’t be made to do anything against your values” isn’t just comfort, it’s ethical practice.

We agree your goals in advance, and we only use techniques you’ve consented to. In other words: control stays with you, because all hypnosis is self-hypnosis.

Think of it like this:
- You set the destination
- Your hypnotherapist is the GPS
- The route only matters if you’ve chosen it

If you want reassurance from day one, choose an NCH-registered, accredited hypnotherapist from our register.

Health Hypnotherapy is a rarely discussed topic. Limiting beliefs about how powerful and influential the mind is a key factor. Videos like these warm my heart because I have hope that more and more people will realise, although an initially daunting prospect, the body is reacting to what the (subconscious) mind is telling it.

If you'd like to know more about health hypnotherapy, my messages are always open.

Did you know that for neurodivergent individuals, conventional talk therapy isn’t always the only, or most accessible way to process emotions?

You dont need to be a 'good dancer' you just need to move.

You might struggle to name the feeling or how it feels in the body.

Enter ➡️Dance/Movement Therapy (DMT)

Dance therapy offers a powerful "neurochemical symphony" for neurodivergent individuals by bridging physical movement with advanced brain integration.

When movement crosses the body's midline, it triggers dual hemisphere activation, strengthening the white matter integrity of the corpus callosum to improve communication between the creative right brain and analytical left brain. This rhythmic, bilateral stimulation calms an overactive amygdala to soothe sensory overload, while simultaneously prompting the brain to release a flood of dopamine, serotonin, and endorphins.

By restoring balance to these disrupted neurochemical pathways, somatic movement bypasses traditional verbal barriers, reduces executive dysfunction, and elevates everyday mood showing that your body inherently knows the way to emotional regulation and healing.

This creative outlet can help express and process what you are feeling inside.

Explaining EFT Tapping: The Science Behind It.
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), commonly known as "tapping", is an evidence-based somatic-cognitive therapy that combines elements of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) with the physical stimulation of acupressure points. According to a comprehensive meta-analysis of randomised controlled trials published in the Journal of Clinical Medicine, EFT is a highly effective treatment for significantly reducing depressive symptoms. Neurobiological research demonstrates that the physical act of tapping sends electrochemical signals that deactivate the amygdala—the brain's threat and stress centre—and decrease activity in hyperaroused survival pathways. Clinical studies published by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) states that this somatic intervention directly regulates the autonomic nervous system, resulting in a rapid drop in cortisol (the primary stress hormone) levels. By pairing the physical sensation of tapping with the cognitive acknowledgement of an emotional stressor, EFT helps the brain process and reconsolidate distressing memories or symptoms without triggering a physical fight-or-flight response.

If you try it, let me know how it feels in the comments.

Step-by-Step Tapping Instructions

Use the following steps:

Identify the Issue: Choose one specific feeling or symptom e.g depression, you might want to target heavy exhaustion or feeling hopeless.

Rate the Intensity: Rate how strongly you feel that emotion right now on a scale from 0 to 10, with 10 being the most intense.

Formula: "Even though I have this [issue], I deeply and completely accept myself."

The Tapping Sequence: Use two fingers to gently tap 5 to 7 times on the following points in order, repeating a short "reminder phrase" (the specific name of the issue) at each point to stay focused:

Top of the Head: The exact centre of the crown.

Eyebrow: The inner edge of the eyebrow, just above the nose.

Side of the Eye: On the bone at the outer corner of the eye.

Under the Eye: On the bone directly beneath the pupil.

Under the Nose: The space between your nose and upper lip.

Chin: The crease between your lower lip and chin.

Collarbone: The indentation just below the inside edge of the collarbone.

Under the Arm: About 4 inches (10 cm) below the armpit.

Side of the Hand (Karate Chop Point)

Re-evaluate: Take a deep breath and re-rate the intensity of the feeling from 0 to 10. Repeat the sequence as needed until the number drops

Your not stuck because you are not trying hard enough

Your stuck because you've been trying to think your way out of something thats physical.

Your conscious 🧠 is operating around 5% of your thoughts, actions and behaviours.

That means 95% of actions, thoughts and feelings come from your subconscious.

You are not aware of the majority of your own thoughts.

Your subconscious doesn't listen like change. It perceives it as scary, as a threat.
So continues to run the same familiar show, as it aways has.

So its not a lack of willpower or a lack of positive mindset.

Its a case of not being taught how to change your subconscious programming.

There's where hypnotherapy comes in.
Making changes happens much faster because the conscious mind is busy in hypnosis, the subconscious mind feels safe in relaxation and doesn't fight the scary new changes.
