An Imperial Start-up Journey: United Bionics (Feb 22nd)

Join us for an insightful evening with Sam Kamali, Founder of United Bionics!

United Bionics develops bionic devices, both medical and non-medical, and was awarded £500,000 via the Innovate UK SMART Grant to develop Echo Band.

Founded by Sam Kamali, we are excited to have Sam share his journey with United Bionics so far: from the problem to solution, and the steps to overcome along the way.

This is a must for anyone with an idea, or keen to explore start-ups as Sam will be sharing advice on how to get your idea up and running, including ISOs.

Introducing our Speaker
Dr Uddhav Vaghela
BSc Hons (1st) MBBS
Chief Innovation Officer at DocComs

Dr Uddhav Vaghela is currently a KSS Trauma and Orthopaedics Core Surgical Trainee, while also being the Chief Innovation Officer of DocComs – a clinical communications software platform promoting patient safety with improved clinical workflows.

He graduated from Imperial College London School of Medicine in 2020, with an intercalated BSc in Biomedical Engineering in 2018 (First Class Honours).

Dr Vaghela has a special interest in medical devices, machine learning and academic surgery and aims to amalgamate his biomedical engineering education, MedTech start-up experience and clinical knowledge to develop frugal solutions for healthcare’s biggest challenges.
