Today we said our final goodbye to Jon.
As Practice Manager, you never imagine having to write these words or having to lead your team through a day like today. It has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do.
Jon wasn’t just a valued member of our practice he was part of our family. He had the kindest heart, an incredible sense of humour, and a way of making everyone around him feel welcome. Patients adored him, and we were all better for having worked alongside him.
Walking into the practice knowing Jon wouldn’t be there has been incredibly difficult, and today made that reality all the more real. But seeing our team come together, supporting one another through tears, laughter and so many wonderful memories, reminded me of the impact Jon had on every single one of us.
I couldn’t be prouder of our team today. In the midst of heartbreak, they showed the compassion, strength and kindness that Jon embodied every day. I know he would have been proud of them too.
Jon, thank you for your friendship, your unwavering support, the laughs we shared, and for everything you gave to our patients and our practice. Your presence made this place brighter, and your absence will be felt for a very long time.
You leave behind a space that can never truly be filled, but you also leave behind memories that we’ll carry with us every single day.
Rest easy, Jon. You’ll always be part of our practice family, and you will never be forgotten. ❤️
