Times are difficult. That’s no surprise. But with each day you’re alive and healthy, there comes a choice. Dwell on the “what if’s” or enjoy what you have in front of you. I wake up thankful everyday, that although there’s many people in my life that I wish I could hug right now, I have every way accessible to me to check and make sure they’re okay. I’m thankful for social media. I’m thankful for FaceTime. Although, my loved ones are not close to me, they never feel too far. I’m thankful for the food and water I have in my home. I’m thankful for the home I’m safe in. I’m thankful for the time. Time to do the things I always said I’d do but never did. In the last 2 weeks, I’ve cooked more than I probably ever have in my life! I’ve taught myself to learn something new and take an online course. I’ve set myself a challenge, and completed it. I’ve looked after my skin. I’ve looked after my hair and I’m looking after my body. I’m thankful for everyday. So even when it feels forever away till you’re with your friends/ partner/ parents/ grandparents, use this time to focus on you. Do something positive that your future self will thank you for because we will get through this together ❤️
