Set in a peaceful residential area of Slough, Oak House is a modern, purpose-built care home that provides personalised nursing, residential and dementia care for older people on a permanent and respite basis. Oak House is organised into eight suites, each having its own dining room and stylish lounge area. The home also has spacious bedrooms a cinema room and a hair salon with two visiting hair s

tylists. With over an acre of grounds, including secure, landscaped gardens and courtyards, in warmer weather residents and visitors can enjoy spending time in the sunshine. The friendly team enjoys building good relationships with residents' loved ones, as they share the same goal of making sure residents are happy, comfortable and settled.

"It was such a memorable day for me and I felt famous during the performance!" 💜

Peggie, resident at Oak House told the team how she dreamed of playing the piano in front of an audience again and after weeks of practice, Peggie took to the keys for a special concert.

Attended by residents, families and members of the local community, performing much-loved classics and inspiring everyone to sing along.

Made possible through Care UK's Wishing Tree initiative, the concert helped Peggie reconnect with a lifelong passion. Peggie has already volunteered to play again and even teach team members how to play the piano!

☀️ Little Hampton Beach 🏖️

Yesterday a few of us enjoyed a trip to Little Hampton Beach. When we got to Little Hampton, we spent some time taking in the sea breeze and stopped for a traditional fish and chips.

After our lunch, we then had a walk around and collected some sea shells to take home with us.

Then, we enjoyed an ice cream, or two, with the sound of the waves crashing in the background.

After loading up the minibus to come back home, we had one pit stop. We stopped at Rykas Cafe Boxhill for a picnic in the park. We had such an amazing day! ✨
