This made me giggle today. 😂 A few weeks ago I picked this up in a charity shop for a little boy I work with who loves flags and countries. We had a great time playing pairs, practising lots of language as we went. He even took it home for a week to play with his family.

Today, though, he absolutely refused to play it. Why?

Because the label says "No returns."

In his words: "No. No returns... yesterday." 🤣

I love these moments. They give such a wonderful insight into how some autistic children make sense of language by taking it literally.

A brilliant reminder that children aren't just learning words, they're working incredibly hard to make sense of what those words mean.

We’re pleased to share that our new website is now live

We’ve designed the site to give a clearer picture of who we are, how we work, and the support we offer at Mindsight Autism Services in Southam.

As part of the new website, we’ve included videos to explain our assessment process and introduce ourselves as professionals. We know that for many neurodivergent people, familiarity and knowing who and what to expect can make a real difference, so we wanted to create something that feels more accessible and reassuring.

Nature gave us a chilly welcome back with a frozen car park this morning! ❄️ We have the shovels and grit ready to go as needed, but for now, we are staying warm inside and catching up with emails and messages from over the Christmas period. Such dangerous rhetoric on the news at the moment. Well done to National Autistic Society, Ambitious about Autism and Autistica responding so quickly to the misinformation in the news…

"We are concerned by the multiple recent inaccurate claims from the Trump administration. These claims are not only stigmatising, but they are a distraction and act as an impediment to progress.

"As a group of charities that exist to make the world better for autistic people, we want to see governments focusing on following high-quality evidence to help autistic people thrive instead of focusing on disproven theories."
