Sorry we’ve been a little quiet!!
We are currently doing our best to ensure the residents are staying cool and comfortable in this heatwave ☀️
Fans in all bedrooms, fans in communal areas, windows open, curtains closed, lots and lots of cold drinks and ice lollies/ice creams 🍦and lots of peace and calm seems to be working.
Our incredible care team are trying to keep cool too! Some have decided to wear a t-shirt instead of there tunics which get incredibly hot. Nevertheless, they continue to work hard to ensure our residents have the best care!
We kindly ask visitors, if you are taking your loved one outside, please ensure they have a drink and sunscreen protection (just as a member of the team) to avoid heat stroke and sunburn.
It’s really important to protect from sun, particularly at lunch time and early afternoon when it’s at its hottest!
