What a wonderful afternoon at Oaklands welcoming back the fantastic Marcus Davies! His beautiful voice, Welsh humour and warm personality had residents singing along, laughing and smiling throughout. ❤️

What a wonderful afternoon of camaraderie, laughter and reminiscence! 💛 Residents came together for a delightful afternoon of baking, putting their skills to work weighing, mixing, beating and whisking. 👩‍🍳🍋

The ladies created a delicious lemon cake, and the end result was certainly worth all the effort! 🎂✨ A lovely afternoon filled with friendship, memories and, of course, something delicious to enjoy together.

Everyone enjoyed a delicious selection of vibrant, refreshing fruits, cooling jellies and nutritious smoothies at our ever-popular Nutrition & Hydration Afternoon. 🍓🍉🥝🥤

🌿 A wonderful morning of community and connection 🌿

We had a great turnout for this morning’s virtual Care Home Church Service, delivered in partnership with the Christian charity Caraway. ✝️

Our residents enjoyed listening to readings and joining together in prayers and hymns. It was another lovely opportunity to connect with others, share a meaningful moment, and feel part of a wider community. 💛

Caraway not only provides these wonderful virtual church services, but also kindly offers a selection of activities for residents to enjoy, creating even more opportunities for connection, engagement and enjoyment.

A big thank you to Caraway for helping to bring our community together! 🌸

🇬🇷 Taste of Home - Greece at Oaklands! 🇬🇷
What an incredible afternoon celebrating our Taste of Home Food Festival with a Greek theme! Our home was transformed with beautiful blue and white décor, brightened with a splash of sunny yellow from fresh lemons, creating a wonderful Mediterranean feel.

Our talented Greek chef Toulla prepared a delicious Greek feast, while her husband Mark cooked freshly grilled chicken kebabs outside, filling the courtyard with mouth-watering aromas.

Residents, families, staff, and guests enjoyed fantastic entertainment from Little Joe, with plenty of singing, dancing, clapping, and musical fun. The Lifestyles Team embraced the theme by dressing in blue and white, with Angie looking amazing as a Greek goddess!

A wonderful afternoon full of laughter, friendship, delicious food, and community spirit. Thank you to everyone who helped make it so special. 💙🤍💛
