UHS Babies - June 2026 ☀️ (Apologies for the delay!)

Congratulations to all the families who welcomed little ones with us in June. As always, our thoughts go to the families of sleeping babies.

On occasion the immediate postnatal period may look slightly different to what you may have ‘planned’ or preferred. In order to support you during this time we are pleased to announce a change in policy to encourage families to remain together if the birthing person is required to attend theatre for any non-emergency postnatal related procedure (such as manual removal of placenta or complex perineal repair).

This is in hopes to promote opportunities for continued skin-to-skin, bonding and enhanced breastfeeding initiation with a reduction in birth-related trauma.

And just like that, we have somehow arrived into the second half of the year!
