The UHS clothes bank for patients needs your support 👕 👖 👚

Our linen cupboard is almost bare. We use it to provide clothing to patients who don’t have clean, comfortable clothes to go home in.

Throughout the year, there are many people who really value and appreciate the kind donation of some loose-fitting clothing to go home in. But we can only provide this support with the help of the local community, and through your generous donations.

⭐What you can donate:
✅Jumpers
✅T-shirts
✅Trousers
✅Shorts
✅Skirts
✅Jogging bottoms

🚫Please don’t donate:
❌Underwear
❌Shoes
❌Coats
❌Sequined or sparkly tops

All items must be clean and in good condition.

📍Where to donate:
The UHS Patient and Family Support Hub, B Level East Wing (near the Eye Unit), open 09:30am - 4pm Monday - Friday (excluding bank holidays).

Or drop off at our community partner: Adjustamatic Beds, 280 Wi******er Road, SO16 6TQ. Open Monday to Saturday, 9:30am–5:30pm

Got questions? Call 0800 484 0135 or email [email protected]

Your kindness helps us offer dignity and comfort to our patients. Please spread the word and donate if you can.

📝 Have you written an emergency plan?

As a carer, you provide valuable support, but what happens if you’re suddenly unable to provide care?

Having an emergency plan can help to ensure the person you care for continues to get the help they need if you’re not available.

It doesn’t have to be complicated, and organisations like Carers UK and Carers First have templates available to help you 💙

👀 Any of these thoughts sound familiar? Truth is, if you support a family member or friend who has a disability, illness, addiction, or needs extra help as they get older, you may be a carer.

Recognising your caring role can help you access the support, advice, and services available to you.
This Carers Week, let’s challenge the myths and raise awareness of the incredible contribution carers make every day.

Being a carer can be incredibly rewarding - but it can also feel isolating.

Whether you’re caring for a family member, friend, neighbour, or loved one, it’s important to remember that you don’t have to do it alone 💙

If you’re been feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply in need of a listening ear, remember that reaching out is not a sign of weakness.

Join one of our online drop-in sessions and connect with others who understand the realities of caring.
